What hobbies and/or sports are your kids involved in?

My 9 year old is showing interest in BMX racing. We already have a bike, now to get him on the track.
Then he and the 7 yr old are both learning to play the guitar.

That's the extent of our extra-curricular activities. What do you all do?

My 8 year old son takes piano lessons and has since he was 5. He lives for music! He also plays baseball. My 5 year old dd loves tap dancing and gymnastics. She also wants to cheerlead but has to be 6 here to do that.

Thanks for starting this thread--it's going to be interesting to find out what everyone's kids like to do.

My daughter plays the flute, rarely, but she plays well. Her first love is dance, she was never into ballet or tap, but give her some latin music and she will salsa all over the room! She has been a cheerleader since kindergarten, and now the dance team in h.s. for two years.
My son plays the tuba and takes fencing lessons.
They are why I tear up the roads!!

My son plays baseball and is on the swim team. He's not interested in much else so that keep us busy during spring and summer!

Our children are invovled in Cub Scouts and AWANAS. They really aren't into sports and are too young to really get into musical instruments yet. Although my 7 going on 8 year old has indicated he would like to play baseball in the spring - but we will see what happened.

Soccer! Fall soccer, winter soccer, practice, soccer camp! We even have some winter games outdoors. Brrrrr!!!!

I would cry if Brett played outside in the Winter! Brett has a history of asthma and Jimmy would have a fit when it would drizzle a little during baseball.

Our boys did soccer this past autumn/winter, they do Boy's Brigade all year round, and swimming in the summer. Our eldest wants to learn guitar now that soccer is finished.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? [duck] That is what it's all about at this house at this time of the year! Two actually play ball but all love to watch it on TV with Dad. They get out the popcorn and camp out in the living room. This year it will be two nights. Sunday Night on NBC and then Monday Night on ESPN! God must have known what He was doing when he placed me here among 5 men! [haloed] ( well, 2 aren't quite there yet [rotfl] ) I actually like football! But I am exhasuted come November from the craziness of it all. [juggle] For the most part it is football, golf, movies, and play station over here. Those are the interests. HMMM notice I didn't list school! [whatquestion] [rofl] [girlsmiley]

My son is only 3, but we do kick the soccer ball around a lot; he has been asking me for ice skates (it took a bit for me to discern that's what he meant by shoes with knifes on dem, go bidin' around on de ice) I am looking into a percussion class that they offer at the Community Music School for 3-4 year olds, and would love to be able to afford music lessons for both my children; that is one thing I didn't get to do as a kid.

Hi new here thought I would jump in...my boys played T-Ball over the summer...unfortunately we just moved into a new area so we were too late to register for soccer...and they are real sticklers about the rules  ...so we are going to wait until spring...I am hoping to get my DD into dance classes but since she is only 2..almost 2 1/2 I doubt she will be able to until she turns 3..so maybe gymanstics....
