all by himself. my son Jakob is in jk and as some of you know he has had some difficulties. sensory integration disorder (mild), difficulties with fine motor skills and lots of attention focusing issues. his class just started their reading program and he is bring home little readers (abeka book series called little books to read and color) and he loves doing them. last night he brought home book 4 read the letter sounds and blends with little difficulty and then read the small 3 word sentence at the end. HE was so proud of himself. this step for Jake is awesome. just wanted to let you all know

All the credit goes to Jake. Currently he is getting so more one on one time with his teacher.(due to very small class sizes, only has 10 in his class), and we are working with him at home. HE is so very proud of himself.

Wow way to go Jakob, that's fantastic news mom! Way to go for both of you, its well worth the effort!!
My son suffers from many of the same difficulties you describe in your young son, though now my son is already 15, the extra time and effort, every moment you place into him now and in the coming years will help him excel beyond your belief I promise you that!!!
