View Full Version : He talks the leg off an iron mule!
My son is a motormouth, he doesn't stop...
It is soooo full on that DH says "be quiet now please"
LOL I have considered renaming him BLARNEY STONE... has anyone else had a son like this ROTF. It's too funny, if not a little infuriating.
I don't want to crush him, but sometimes for my own sanity, I have to ask him to have quiet time, it's incessant.
Perhaps he will grow up to be a really well paid auctioneer at Christie's Auction House or something ROTF. Or perhaps a great evangelist.

Aussie-Mum....YES ALL FOUR OF MINE! [whatcrazy] At the end of the day I am so exhausted, and basically it is just my brain from listening to them all day long! I don't know where they get it from? HMMMMMMM... maybe their father! [whatthink] [rotfl] [girlsmiley]
Yep, I've got 2 little chatterboxes [rotfl] They are just so cute though, the way they chat away to each other.
When our eldest had his tonsils out, the little boy in the next bed was a chatterbox too. Once their pain meds kicked in, they didn't stop chatting, even after surgery! [highfive] This little boy was from a Christian family too, so his mum and I got along really well. The following day, our sons climbed into the same bed, turned on cartoons, and just chatted away. The nurses said it was like two little old men comparing war wounds [rofl]
So, yes, my boys chat all the time! I know it can do your head in some days, but I try not to discourage it, because I'm hoping it means when those tricky teenage years come along, they will still come and chat away to me about whatever is on their minds [OK]

I only have one chatterbox, though my youngest is starting to babble a lot! But with my oldest, sometimes, for my sanity, I have to ask him to stop talking. It is so draining to have to listen and they know when you aren't!!!
Abby is quite a chatterbox actually. I just hope she doesn't end up like FIL! He NEVER stops talking [rofl]

we have a joke around our house about my dd... "how do we know when Kyla's done talking?"..."she's asleep!!!" [sleep] [rofl]
now we call ds kyla junior, and with how much the baby babbles i have a feeling we've got a kyla junior jr. [cheerful]
DD talks A LOT too but she also has times where she will ask for me to put on Garfield or something and she will watch it, but DS doesn't have much attention span/interest in TV/DVD's... so if he's not playing with his toys, he's yabbering on LOL.

I know what you mommies mean, Sam is only 19 months & does not stop talking unless she is eating or sleeping. At her last dr.'s appt. the doc asked if she could say 10-15 words, Craig and I looked at each other and bursted out laughing and I said 'she says a whole lot more than 10-15 words'!! And lately she says everything you say...that's good and bad!!
oh ha ha she sounds CLASSIC!
Jackson asked me today "mummy are we fish?" sigggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this was the 101 question of the day LOL
My precious little fella has speech delay problems and it is soooo hard to understand him. Let me tell you, it's bad enough when you can understand them, but when they go on and on and on and on and you can't understand them, it drives your up the wall!!! He is getting speech therapy at preschool this year. You know what's so funny? His Sunday School and Preschool teachers say that he seldom opens his mouth!!
