Ladies, what is it like when amniotic fluid is leaking? This morning I woke up with my underwear completely soaked--and it didn't smell like urine. Can anyone give me any idea? I'm really scared....

I would have her check you out...Thats what happened to me, no gush, just leak, then labor...But I also had a false alarm that started with a clear leak...

Praying for you today

Could it have been your water breaking? If so, bubby might be on his/her way quite soon :D

However, maybe give your midwife a call, and just see what she says.

Praying for you!

Yes, you need to be seen. You want to deliver if possible within 24 hours of that happening, if that is your amniotic fluid, to keep from an infection. This is it! I will be praying! :)

:) She and her dh went to a different church so they wouldn't hear "have you had that baby yet." Hope she will still come here even if no baby yet! :)

Well, I checked with my midwife and everything's fine as far as fluids go. The good news? As I type this, I'm in between contractions. Please pray that this is real labor and not another round of false. Thank you. I'm so ready to hold my baby!

It won't be long now my friend!! I just thought of something, are you going to change your login name after you have the baby? You won't be an expectant mommy any more  . Best of luck and praying for you! Stephanie :D

Well, it was false labor. So here for another round of pregnancy. We're okay as far as fluids. So we don't have a time limit.

This is the day that the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. It's a day that I would rather be giving birth than still pregnant, but I refuse to let it sour my attitude! :)

 Sorry you've been disappointed!!! Women would never be ready mentally to give birth unless they became "sick" of being pregnant I guess.

Good on your great attitude. The Lord knows best.

Thanks for the update I was wondering how your doing! You know I remember with my two pregnancies getting so excited and thinking it was happening and then it wouldn't and then I would be so disappointed and then I would remind myself you know what it is going to happen for sure!! The last few days always seem longer than the previous 9 months!!!! But your baby will be here in no time :)
Will keep you in my prayers!

So says us who aren't expectantly waiting to go into labour at any moment. Do what I did. Sit there and think, maybe I'll go into labour in the next 5 seconds... nope... okay, maybe this time!

Like I said to you earlier, God is putting on the finishing touches of little Hannah or Stephen and of course, His timing is perfect.

You didn't pray for patience by any chance did you? :)

But by the sounds of things, when it does happen it will go fast. Even though you had false labour, you still stay dilated right? I hope so. That will make it better in the end.

Sorry I wasn't trying to be discouraging! I know it sounds bad, after I reread it! I guess I was trying to be sympathetic and it didn't work

I'm waiting to go into labour and Sophie isn't even due yet [rofl]

Ruth I hope your time comes soon! I know all about waiting... Abby was two weeks late.

I really wondered if I accidentally prayed for patience recently. I don't recall praying for it, but you never know. Yeah, I'm wondering if I'll have a short labor when the time comes around. All these contractions are probably just working toward dilating me. My mom told me that she got to the hospital one hour after she started labor and was already 5 cms! So I hope that painless dilation runs in my family.

Sorry, didn't mean to make you feel bad. I just read that and laughed remembering when I so wanted the baby out! Dh would tell me, it won't be long and I'd look down and think, but I want to see my feet again...NOW! Not that I could after bc of nursing but that was another problem!!!

It just made me laugh when I read it!
