A few months back I began to realize that Emme was getting to a place where she comprehends alot. I started to think, "if she can comprehend and doesn't trust Jesus she could be at a point where if she died she wouldn't go to heaven." I began to seriously pray for her to be saved as it caused GREAT sadness to think of her in hell and seperated from us for ever. When we first put the christmas tree up she wanted a star for the top but, what we have is an angel and no budget to go buy a star. . .well, she just was going to have to be ok with an angel *snork*. Turns out the angel was pivital. A few days past christmas she was bouncing on the couch looking up at the angel and said, "angels are real" and I think she mentioned how santa wasn't and Jesus was and that led to a discussion about trusting Jesus to save her from the punishment of her sins. At first she said she'd do "it" the next day and I said "well, ok you can but, what if you die tonight?" We explained that she probably wouldn't but, what if. There was some more discussion and then she bowed her head and asked Jesus to be her saviour- YAY! but, she's prayed that before so, "Jesus, if this is real let us see the changed heart". The next morning she got up and the first thing she said was, "mama, we didn't go to heaven last night! (tee hee too cute) Then she immediately follwed that with, "we have to tell brandon about Jesus". (Ah, there it is Lord, a heart that has new life). For those that don't know Em is almost 5 and brandon is 5 months old. So, I told her brandon wouldn't understand but, that it was ok to tell him cause we started telling her when she was a baby. So, up on the bed she climbed and began to tell brandon the wonderous story. Then she wanted to tell other people she cared about. Shortly after, she began to want to pray on her own where she hadn't wanted to before. She prays alot for her friends to be saved. One day I got concerned for Dh who was driving home in yucky weather so, I turned to Emme and said, "we need to pray that daddy would get home safely". I figured she'd just pray while I prayed aloud for us but, she looked at me and said "ok" enthusiatically and then she prayed for us, "Jesus, help my daddy get home safe, in Jesus' name. Amen." There it is again Lord, thankyou. Then one day last week I was at my sister's house (they are not believers) and Em and my neice who is just a few months younger were running around the table chasing each other whe Em stopped dead in her tracks, turned around and stopped my neice to tell her, "A., God is real. There was a star in the east and three wise men and that was sign that Jesus was real." Then she turned to me and said, "Mama, I have to go tell auntie N." and off she went. None of these things came as a result of us telling her that that is how she sould be, they just sprang from her new heart. So, it seems that there are three saved people living in this house now and my heart is warmed and so, so, grateful. -ren
