It is too hot to play outside or even stay outside for any reason right now. DD is getting antsy and I am anxious to start getting any kind of exercise. I need to get back into shape! I was thinking that it would be fun to have some kind of exercise program that DD and I could do together. I am open to most any suggestions except yoga. I know there has to be some kind of DVD out there that is just right for kids and mommies. :D
Anybody know of one?

I don't know of a DVD, but I have a book on Pilates- it is low impact but effective for toning the body... My son like sto try and do some of the stuff with me, and it is slow-paced versus trying to keep up with an aerobic video. Other than that, we walk for 45 minutes to an hour every evening- I like to put my kids in a double stroller sometimes, so I can cruise. Have fun with it!

We use the mousercise DVD from Disney and there's one from Sesame Street too....also, my 2 year old little boy LOVES music and to dance! So we just turn on an old 80's disco CD and dance in circles for 30 minutes to burn calories and wear ourselves out!

We have several classes around here from a group called Stroller Strides- I think there are a few other similar organizations. They meet at parks or at the local mall and do a workout that involves you, your kiddos, and the stroller. I haven't done it but have heard great things about it.
