View Full Version : How is everyone doing?
savedbygrace 02-07-2008, 12:27 PM I was wondering how all you preggo mommies were doing? Is your morning sickness over? Are you nesting and getting ready to pop?
For myself, things have been great. I'm still able to sleep on my back so that's a nice thing for me. My Junebug's movements are a lot stronger and sometimes painful. I never had pain with abby's movements. But Junebug doesn't move tons and tons. We have our u/s scheduled on the 21st! I can't wait!
But I have been feeling great and trying to eat healthy. So there is my update.
I just can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going! I have been starting to feel the effects of the belly (backache, siatic nerver pain, fatigue) but I love the growing belly and the movements. I, too, have had some painful kicks, Esther! Only 12 weeks to go!!!
~Tara~ 02-07-2008, 01:57 PM I'm still gettin' along :)
Setting up an appointment with a chiropractor as my sciatica is flaring up, as usual. It's now disturbing my sleep so cannot be put off any longer.
I put in a call to two female chiros today. Awaiting a call back from the second concerning insurance/price..but I'll probably go with that one. Just the 'vibe' I got talking to the receptionist on the phone..I *think* this one will be fine. They both routinely require the initial x-ray...which I think is ridiculous, but oh well, what does it matter to me right now? It's waived during pregnancy ;) Then as I continue to go after pregnancy, well, she should already know what's going on..she *shouldn't* then press for an x-ray...if so, I'll resist and they may lose a patient. Easy as that.
Anywho...
So, yeah, nights haven't been *as* pleasant lately, but not terrible. All else is fine. I still have some emotional days, but better than last week. That whole week was just a wreck! Blech! Must have been a major hormone surge/growth spurt hehe I feel more normal this week.
I still want to eat..but this week that may simply be because our fridge/pantry are so bare LOL That's always how it works isn't it?
And, um, well, yep, I think that sums it up :)
PianoMama 02-07-2008, 02:29 PM I'm starting to become more uncomfortable as the weeks wear on.
- nervous about having 2 kiddos
- wondering how much time I'll need to take off from church work and teaching piano
- I've had a terrible cold twice and I feel like it's coming back to slug me for a third time
- very clutzy
- major mommy brain (can't find things that are right in front of my eyes)
- sad to change to a new dr.
- pain from 'inflamed ribs'
- trying to decide on a suitable name
- getting things decorated in her room
<sigh>
Ashlee 02-07-2008, 03:31 PM I'm only 7 weeks along but I have had a week of pretty icky morning sickness already, blech! It has got a lot better though.. so hopefully that will be it! Other then that I have been really clumsy.. I always get butter fingers with my pregnancies. I have broken 3 dishes already, sheesh. I am also a little emotional.. feeling a bit out of control.. need to get into a good routine again and stick to it. Thats about it!:-D
Proverbs31student 02-07-2008, 04:11 PM I'm barely pregnant compared to the rest of you, but...so far, I have been doing well. My major symptoms, up to this point, have been extreme fatigue and some moodiness. Fortunately, no morning sickness yet. Because I have been feeling so well, sometimes I wonder if I am even pregnant. I tested again just to be sure. The pregnancy line showed up before the control line, and it was quite a bit darker than the control line. That, combined with the doctor's diagnosis, should be proof enough!

Well, it seems like all I needed to do was POAS for the symptoms to really jump out at me. I have been feeling like I have a brick in my belly and experiencing some moodiness for over a week. But the morning ickies have definitely arrived now, and they are not limited to the morning. :( And the exhaustion....good grief! But that's okay...all for a good cause. ;)
KansasMom 02-07-2008, 06:41 PM Praying for all you expectant mommies...it is such a blessing and such a journey...
~Tara~ 02-07-2008, 07:27 PM Oh Kim...I so hear ya LOL
That's me.
POAS and it all begins.
It doesn't matter how early or how late...once I POAS, it starts. Isn't that weird?
Geesh. You'd think I'd learn to just not POAS eh? LMHO
Hey, it's a thought worth entertaining...the possible connection ;)
Work with me here! haha
Doing good here... still queasy and really crampy/achy, but doing great otherwise. :) I agree, Jill, I can't believe how FAST this pregnancy going!! I swear I just took that pregnancy test yesterday... amazing... it seems like the more children we have the faster the pregnancies go! Ugh! I actually want it to slow down!!!
Little Eliya is very active now but not hard-core active like my second DD... 2nd-DD beat up my insides so that I was in pain constantly and depressed about it... man that was hard. This little gal is much more tender, just active. :) It's a very nice switch!
I'm experiencing MUCH more ligament pain this go round, but it's nothing I Can't handle... nothing else worth mentioning really! :)
4Angelz 02-07-2008, 10:01 PM Thanks for asking Esther!
I'm an emotional wreck and my body has completely betrayed me... let's sum it all up to: I'M READY TO DELIVER ALREADY!!!!! Hehehe. Sleeping has gotten to be an activity that needs way to much effort to be actual sleep anymore. I have a February 28th induction scheduled, but I'm praying he comes sooner. He is so big... ugghh! When I sit up I've got chest and back pain in the same vacinity which is where he loves to stick one foot. When I lay down... I can't breathe comfortably. And every night around 7pm the contractions start... irregular, but frequent. They usually continue until 1 am or so...grrrrr! Don't put your hand too close... I just might bite it off because my appetite has been voracious. I have managed not to put on much weight though. Totaling a 15 lbs gain this pregnancy. I get my last ultrasound on Tuesday to make sure that the baby is not measuring too big to wait until the 28th.
But hey, I'm healthy as a horse and I just can't wait to see this little fella!

Oh good! I thought I was crazy! What's with that anyway?? Perfectly fine one day, POAS the next and I'm completely naseous. It's like you POAS and then your brain says "open the floodgates of crazy pregnancy symptoms" heehee
And JRBL....I'm hearing ya about kids beating you up from the inside...dd was so active that we called her "Wallop" until she was born. [rofl] Gotta love 'em though!
savedbygrace 02-08-2008, 01:22 AM 3Angelz, I'm sorry you're feeling so miserable. But those contractions aren't happening for no reason. (I know that doesn't help any but thought I should throw it out there) So hang in there!

I actually do find comfort in the fact that the false labor contractions are working toward the reward! Usually I would be doing a brisk morning walk everyday, but that's not possible this time. I sure to miss it though. It always got my body plenty of labor practice.
catringa 02-11-2008, 12:09 AM well, this is my first time even checking here since I got pregnant!! I'm 20 weeks now...and finally getting my energy back! :) so therefore...a little bit of time on the computer! i feel great now! I agree....this is baby number three....and this pregnancy is going soooooooooooo fast i want it to slow down! especially knowing that it is my last. it's a girl :) she moves around tons, which is fun to feel again....i will miss that when she is born. she seems more active than my first two....who are extremely active children....is this some foreshadowing?? where I live (central america) my doctor does a sonogram EACH visit, and it is soooo fun! i love my visits! just got a couple new maternity shirts....so now i kinda feel pretty (and not all the old clothes that i have lent out and have had returned looking not so fun). I have a Junebug too! Hopefully i will get here more often to keep up with everyone and share in the journey!
buttercup_97140 02-14-2008, 02:49 AM I am more exhausted that I have ever been in the first trimester. Nausea comes and goes, but it's all good! So exciting to see more pgs popping up! Such an exciting time!
Blessings,
Amber
