Here is a recent quote by Lindsay Lohan that will be published in Elle mag in Sept. She is attempting to schedule a visit with Sen. Hillary Clinton to visit the troops in Iraq (okay, sending Clinton in the first place seems.....?????) and here is her motivation:

She also said her inspiration for the trip was Marilyn Monroe's visits to the troops during the Korean War. "It's so amazing seeing that one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who's basically a pinup, which is what I've always aspired to be," said Lohan.

Me either! It seems it is so hard to find and actor/actress that I trust my kids to like. Thanks for sharing this! We are parents are need to share this info with each other and maybe as a team we can each other learn more about some of the popular stars today. Stephanie :D

I think about this kind of thing often. it is sometimes almost impossible to escape the media. My girls are at an age where they are starting to like pop music, which I do not allow into the house, we just dont listen to it. I do not begrudge them liking good music we listen to all sorts actually. People like Britney are definately a no-no. Im not up on the latest christian pop music either so will be posting about this soon. In about 5 minutes actually.
