So I've loved my f.b dipes thus far. I tried AIO's and they didn't work for me- took too long to dry IMO. DD is now 9mths and we've started having a HUGE leak problem. I've stripped my dipes a couple of times with no noticeable difference. I think this is purely a volume issue. A while back we had double-stuffed at night and have been going that route during the day also, with mixed results. If we're going to continue to double-stuff we'll need some more inserts. What I'm wondering is if there is a different type of insert we should be trying here. We've used just the standard micro-terry ones that come with the f.b. I hate adding that much bulk as it seems to drag her down and makes her clothes a bit awkward looking. So I'm looking for a more absorbant, but hopefully trimmer insert for her. Any suggestions?
We used FB's and I bought hemp inserts for them. (This was before all FBs came with the microterry ones.) Here is the link:http://www.jamtots.com/Inserts-C10.aspx
I bought the "inserts"....the "stuffers" would be less maintenance for stuffing because no folding is required. (They didn't have those when I bought...:( ) They are a bit pricey, but in my opinion, they are worth every penny! Nothing else got my kids through the night (one insert....usually a 3 layer one) and so much more trim for under clothes during the day. HTH! :D

Thanks Kim! I'll be taking a look at those. Since we've already invested so much in the dipes, it'll be worth every penny to make things work better!
No problem! I "pioneered" cloth diapers in my family, so I know what it is like to be without help/information in that department. We've never regretted buying those diapers, despite the cost.
I use one or two hemp inserts with my microterry. I have a 2-layer hemp fleece, because the joeybunz and some others took too long to dry (similar to your issue with the AIOs. I don't use AIOs for that very reason.)
Also, you might want to try prefolds instead of the microterry.

I totally agree with the hemp inserts. I use a terry and a hemp at night and have never had a leak problem. My hemp is a thicker kind but I don't know how many layers...it was the thickest they had from the store I bought it at.
oh, and I just remembered, I have a mighty nights insert that I got in a trade. It's pretty cool. that insert is 3 times as wide as an insert, and then you trifold it around a microfiber thing (it's sewn at the ends only, for faster drying) kind of like a hemp fleece prefold?

oops, I forgot to add it once we switched over! okay now if you click on my name, the 'homepage' is in the drop down menu. I just don't want to be too overbearing. I am primarily here for fellowship and Christian advice, not to sell things, but I do sell things as a side job, and a way for me to get cool stuff wholesale! LOL.
