Hi-This a.m. when dh and I were getting ready for work; I pulled my shirt down and my belly was 'gone'. By gone, I mean a lot smaller than it was yesterday. Also, I have lost about a couple pounds since last week and been using the bathroom like crazy! Could I be getting close? I'm now 36 and 1; I go to the dr tomorrow for another dilation check(last week I was a fingertip dilated, 60% effaced and at a -2 station) but I was just wondering if this was my body showing me it was 'getting ready'. And thoughts???

Sounds like the baby dropped! You're only 36 weeks though, that's a bit on the early side... I hope that baby sticks in there for at least one or two more weeks!! :) But yeah, it sounds like you're getting there!

Yep, sounds like it's 'dropped' but I agree, a bit early yet.
So, now you get to breathe better again, but, you may waddle more :p

With my first I dropped WAY before I went into labor.. like a month, I think.

I think it is different with everyone and with every pregnancy.
I NEVER dropped with Abby. and I was a week late. but we'll be praying that your baby doesn't get too anxious to come out just yet!!

As everyone else has mentioned it may be a tad early but it's good progress. :-D Will be praying for and your little one.

I went to the dr yesterday and I am now dilated at 1 and I told him about my belly seeming so much smaller and he agreed that I dropped-so I guess that's it. Oh and did I mention I lost another pound :o But her heartbeat was 154 and I measured right on at 36 so everything is looking great :) I go back next Weds. and see how I'm doing then. I'm just wondering if I'm going to go early with this one????

No, actually, I didn't. My second was born on his due date and my first was right about there. But I'm more active with this pregnancy and I'm wondering if that has something to do with it?
