So usually I get pms-like symptoms about a week before AF is supposed to show up (around CD 22-25), and last month I O'd on CD 18... this month I started getting pms-like symptoms on CD 14!
Why would they show up so early this month?

I'm not totally sure what I'm doing in terms of temping and charting so maybe last month was a fluke...

My chest is so sore already though and I started crying while watching only a mildly emotional TV show today... could it just be stress? (Have to return to work on Monday :sad:, end of 2-weeks with dh home every day [dancing])

Would love your thoughts!

When you say cd14, do you mean post ovulation or cycle day 14? Do you KNOW if you O'd yet? Sometimes your body will mimic pms symptoms when you are going to O. It's those darn hormones! When is af suppose to start? and how are you temping? Or what are you doing that makes you wonder if you are doing it correctly or not?


I mean cycle day 14, no I'm not sure if I O'd yet (wasn't expecting it yet!) and AF usually starts CD 30 to 32. As for temping, the time of day I've been taking it has varied HUGELY this month as I've been off work for Christmas Break and haven't set my alarm to take my temp at the same time each day... hence, no clear pattern yet this month :(

I temp orally as soon as I get out of bed in the morning - honestly, during that first morning visit to the bathroom! I know it's best to do it before you get out of bed, but 1. I didn't want to wake dh with the alarm on the thermometer, and 2. I figured if I kept it consistent, then at least ALL my temps would reflect that difference... do you think that's ok?

And Esther, thanks for the websites you've been sending me - I spoke to dh about devos and he actually went to a Christian book store today to look for one! Didn't buy one, mind you... but just the fact that he went looking was very encouraging! :-D

Hey! Does your thermometer save the last temp? I used to take my temp first thing and just be ready to shut it off the instant it was done. Then I would worry about checking it out after I was already up. Esther knows way more so hopefully she jumps back in, but I am pretty sure it is quite important to take it before you get out of bed?? I took the free online course at www.fertilityfriend.com I learned so much and it is really easy, they email you a lesson everyday and then there is a little quiz. I found it really helpful.

I have been getting symptoms early too. Usually about...ummmm....maybe 1-3 days before my period. Usually 2 days before I think.

Yeah, I took the course at Fertility Friend too and that's how I've been charting my temps, but I took it a while ago and have forgotten details like that...

So today I started getting cramp-like feelings (not gas) but no spotting or anything - I feel like my body is on overdrive this cycle! I should be getting AF on or about Jan. 19th, so all these symptoms shouldn't be arriving until the 12th or so... I'm like clock-work in terms of pms! :mrgreen: (the big boobs, tenderness, moodiness, etc. have shown up QUITE regularly these last few months to my disappointment :-?) Anyone else ever get pms symptoms earlier than they usually do?

OK, well today I think I figured it out...

When I input today's temp, Fertility Friend showed that I O'd on Thursday! I guess that would mean I'm pretty much on schedule with the symptoms...

We BDd twice just before that date, so maybe something will still come of this month, but since I've already got pms symptoms, I'm not holding my breath!

Father, please continue to give me the peace I've been feeling lately about ttc - your grace is so amazing in this situation! Thank you Jesus for caring about all my needs. Amen!
