View Full Version : A bit of a scare!
Hi ladies ... I was so lucky DH was on late shift today because I woke up with extreme dizzyness, short of breath and when I was putting on my make up to go to the supermarket with him my nose just began bleeding out of the blue. It bled last night also...
Here I was thinking "Oh no not pre-eclampsyia again" -
Anyway my BP is within normal range, all other tests came back normal, the baby is fine (so many ultrasounds!!), so Dr Jose just came to the conclusion that unfortunately it's just extreme pregnancy discomfort and to rest more.
DH has forbidden me to do housework, he wants me watching videos all day, or reading.... but I hate having a dirty house
Dr Jose said he felt that my issues would reslove with more rest.
He reconfirmed that the baby is a girl too.
Whew, glad to hear everything is OK! I mean, I wish you weren't experiencing these yucky pregnancy issues, but I'm really glad to hear there's nothing seriously wrong with you or the baby! :D
Glad to hear everythings okay.
stephwhiz 07-26-2006, 06:44 AM Oh my goodness, what a scare! I'm so glad things are okay and just take it easy from here on out. Stephanie :D
breezykc2 07-26-2006, 08:42 AM when I was preg with my first, towards the end I started having extreme periods of shortness of breath and dizziness on and off all day...the doc told me it was due to the baby pressing on a nerve that funs under your breast bone that causes these symptoms when too much pressure is applied. I had blood pressure/pre-eclampsia probs too, but they said these symptoms were caused by this one large nerve!
Aalena 07-26-2006, 11:05 AM I'm happy to hear you're okay. I would try to take it easy also. Wish I had some advice for you, but I will be praying for you and the baby.
A girl here at work had nose bleeds constantly through her pregnancy. The dr said it's normal.
love2bmom 07-26-2006, 08:16 PM Glad to hear things are ok :D .. however as hard as it may be listen to the DH. [chat] I was to be on bed rest for both DD & DS with PE, didn't listen & ended up in hospital. It't tough, if I were there I would come help you out.. will send my prayers instead [praying]
I'm sorry to hear that! Well I hope you are feeling much better soon. *HUGS*
I could get used to not being allowed to do any housework   Just tell your hubby he has to do it all now!
7thHeaven 07-26-2006, 10:05 PM I'm so sorry you had such a sare sweetie! Glad to hear that everything turned out okay! :)
Kerina 07-27-2006, 12:23 AM Soo glad you two are okay!!!
From a mom who gave birth to a 2 and a half pounder, please please rest!!! It's the most aggravating thing to leave the house to go to pot, but it will only be for a short time. You can do it!
Thanks heaps ladies. I am just doing small bits at a time.
JOylynn, can you bring some pumpkin pie with you LOL LOL
mmm that cold mushy pumpkin, it's just so appealing, how long have I lasted without this delicasy. ROTF!
No seriously my friend in the states is sending me some tinned pumpkin and a "good" recipe so I can make it.
I don't think it is... I don't think we have it here in NZ either.
The weirdest thing I've seen tinned is Strawberries. They are so gross. Honestly, they are not nice! Extremely sweet and they just don't taste like strawberries.
Ruth - not there is no call for canned pumpkin over here.
We use fresh pumpkin only. You can get all kinds of things in tins, just not pumpkin, and not strawberries.
