Josh has a red nose, and has had it for almost a week. He doesn't seem like he has or is getting a cold (no runny nose) but the tip of his nose is bright red. He also has a bright red chin (acne) so it is kind of funny looking. I also noticed today that his left cheek is a little pink. The skin doesn't look like there is a rash....it is just red, like he has a cold. Anyways if anyone thinks they know what it is I would be happy for your idea.

The only thing I can think of is maybe him pressing against you when he is nursing! Are you still using the shield? When I would use it, it would leave a red mark on their nose and chin.
Or maybe the change in weather, has it got colder? My boys faces get very red and rosy in the colder weather, I think it is that Irish complexion?! :)
I am not sure if this helps?

At first I thought it was from nursing (no I am off the nipple shield PTL :) ) but it is constant..it doesn't get better and then worse, just the same. could be weather since it is cold, but it doesn't get any more red outside vs. inside and his nose is red even when his nose isn't cold. I was thinking, well maybe he is just breaking out on his nose, but I don't see any signs of a pimple forming.
