I have heard other people say, "I felt the baby moving at 10 and 11 weeks!" I rolled my eyes, pointed out how SMALL the baby is at that point and basically said, "You're crazy." With DD #2, I felt her moving at around week 11, but was telling myself it was "gas" because "She's too little". Well, we got an ultrasound at 11 weeks and there she was, doing gymnastics in the womb and every time she hit my uterus side I FELT that feeling! She was just a SUPER active fetus! She was born VERY muscular too, she's still my "biggest" child as far as muscle mass goes.

Well, this go round... I had been feeling little bumps at week 10 and thought... that has *GOT* to be gas!! But, sure enough... I got an ultrasound, which the baby slept through, and we did an audible check on the heartbeat to get a heart rate and the baby KICKED the doppler, and there it was... THAT was what I was feeling... this light little poke. I was amazed. I can't believe it. This baby is NO where near as active as DD #2 but I definitely feel those pokes earlier than with the others. Weird, I tell ya! It's very sporatic and not very strong... but there!

What about you gals... when do you feel your babies typically??

I was on the late side probably- I felt both DD and my twin boys at almost exactly 20 weeks.

With this pregnancy I didn't feel it until about 16 or 17 weeks. It seems like with my last pregnancy (which ended at 24 weeks) I felt her moving around sooner and A LOT more. I have heard that the more pregnancies you have the sooner you can feel them move but who knows! It seems like I noticed it more after having an ultrasound and seeing the movement to correlate with the feeling, if that makes sense.

Anyways that exciting that you are feeling it already!:-D

Ha haa I keep thinking the exact same thing. I feel something, BUT it can't be the baby! What I wonder is, if it is gas why are we suddenly feeling it now?

I felt first baby for sure around 20 weeks and second baby 16 weeks and 15-16 weeks with #3.

With ds, I first felt him for sure after 20 weeks - more like 25 I think...

With this one, I felt it for the first time at 17 weeks and I've been feeling it every day - quite often! I love it...it's one of the best things about being preggo!!!

I agree!! I thought it was "weird" that I was "feeling" my gas like that all of a "sudden"... so it was a great relief to me when I felt that same "feeling" and we heard it on the doppler and she said, "Oh! That was a definite kick!" I thought the same thing as she said it and that's when I realized that that's what I was feeling all along... too funny!!

With DS #1 (ended at 21 weeks) and DD #1, I felt the kicks more typically at 20 weeks-ish. The twins... I'm having trouble remembering but I think it was "later" with them too... more like around 16-18 weeks.

but this time I know I felt something early..similar to your 11wks I even felt a lump I am sure was the babe
now, at 16.5 (gestation) I am just beginning to feel things (again) ever so slight though, but picking up over the last couple of weeks

I think I was more in tune with my womb in each subsequent pregnancy so I felt things earlier each time. I remember last time being on a trip when I felt the first flutters and that was late week 12-early week 13.

Congrats, it's such an amazing feeling!

I'm think the same way. I've been feeling little thumps, but assume it gas and hopeful that it's the baby. I am waiting for my dh and dd to feel it!

It seems like the more kids I have, the more active they are, and the sooner I feel them moving. This current baby has topped his siblings, because I felt him kicking shortly before the 10 week mark. I thought I was crazy when I felt #2 at 11 weeks. Then #3 clocked in at 10 weeks. Now #4's kicks are lethal and I'm 28 weeks. Also, each baby has been bigger than the last... maybe that's a reason too.

Ahhh... See, my mom was the same way... each baby got bigger... by the time she had me (number four) I was 9 lbs 9 oz and her stomach was so huge they thought she was having twins!! hehehe
