Seriously false labor has to be one of the cruelest jokes. [crytantrum]

Last night I had pretty serious contractions every 8-10 minutes for about 4 hours and then poof they disapeared. I have been really trying not to get my hopes up I know I probably at least have one to two more weeks, but uuugghh! [cry]

False labor seems to be pretty hereditary in my family so I try all the tricks to sooth it right away but last night it lasted longer than normal.

My patience seems to be wearing thin really quickly this time around
I think my husband and I have our hopes up because DS was early 2 weeks. Plus it is sooooo hot. We are supposed to have 4 days straight in th 100's this weekend. [flame]

Hope your day comes soon...heat wave baby~

Just one thought on the bright side: maybe this false labor is helping you dilate more so your real labor will be easier.

:)

Hang in there, 3rd trimester sister.

I feel for you!!

I start getting contractions that ARE NOT braxton hicks at around 28 weeks and they last till the baby comes... I usually have them every day.... some days worse than others... most times I could swear I am in labor.. Some nights I would go for four to five hours with contractions less than 5 minutes apart and so bad I would think that I had better get to the hospital... then just as soon as I would think I should go they would start to dissapate...

So I totally know how you feel...

Hope you can get some rest before that baby comes!

You are not the only one in this position, I was talking to my midwife about this the other day...given I have a history of pre-term babies and pre-term labour being stopped, they have just told me if the pains look like establishing to bolt for the ER (which I would, they don't even need to elaborate). A few times I have felt as if I am going to burst the baby right out of me the pressure is so strong. It doesn't even feel like BH. (I have a prior history of pre-term labour which was stopped coz I got to the hospital in time for them to intervene last preg)

Luckily it's only happened a few times and then gone away.

So I can only imagine how awful it is for people who's babies are due and it disappears, rather than my side of the coin where I start praying it all stops LOL.
