Does anyone have a child that makes EVERYTHING a race? Who gets in the car first? Who gets back to the house after walking to the mailbox first? Who got to church first???? My 7 1/2 yr. old is CONSTANTLY doing this and it is so annoying! We've told him that not everything is a race. Sometimes we ask him what he won because we don't see any prizes/trophies, etc. He was getting upset because his grandma "beated" us to church (she got there before we got there) so then he was "sad"! We just have no idea how to get him to snap out of this race stuff or I won; you lost type of thing.

Mine did that, too, Janell. :lol: We did like you're doing... "Let's not make everything a race, okay?" They all grew out of it. They grow out of it the quickest when they start losing a lot! :wink: :)
