07-09-2006, 03:01 AM
I know we've all come on and said what we are having, but I thought it would be fun anyway to make a tally - since I know now, there are around 4 of us having girls.... one I know having a boy - it would be just neat to have all the info under one post KWIM?

So what are you having and what are the names (again LOL)

We are having [preggostorkgirl] Matilda Jessica - due the last week of September!

We are having a boy due in 3 weeks my DH has predicted in the next 7 days, I am already dialating and thinning out so sometime soon. [claploud] My first son was 2 weeks early, hopefully that pattern repeats.

Name, unfortunately I can not reveal due to the fact that my SIL is on c'moms and we are keeping it a secret from our family and friends.

We are having either a boy or a girl, due August 9, and to be named either Hannah or Stephen. I'll try and update when the Kiddo arrives!

Either a boy or a girl... [rofl] I like that, Ruth! [OKOK] When people used to ask me what I was having before I'd found out ... "Are you having a boy or a girl?" I'd say, "YES!!" [claploud] [jumping] [rotfl]

Hubby and I are having a girl (at least that is what it looks like in the picture, and what u/s tech said....) and her name is Dainyah Grace (pronounced Dane-YUH, meaning the Lord is my Judge). We are praying she comes on her due date of September 20th, as that is my late FIL's birthday.

I must say, now that Ruth has had a girl, WOW... is it girl season or what?
So many more of us appear to be having girls than boys.

You know I saw last night on a medical show there has actually been studies done in Germany that attribute climate and season to sex of babies which is meant to be true.

Well... ahem, since half of us are in the US and two of us are in NZ/AUS and the seasons are almost "opposite"... I think the German study is DEAD WRONG LOL LOL

We are having either Joshua Evan or Rebekah Grace.
I think it's a boy- but I had a dream about a girl last night. So who knows... we will in 7 weeks.

When I was asked what we were having, I would answer that I was pretty sure it would be a baby but possibly an owl.

CJ ROTF ROTF!

That's a good one.

Does anyone else hate the question "was it planned" HOW RUDE IS THAT! or "was that a suprise"

Someone from my old church asked me if it was a suprise, I thought that was tasteless coming from a Christian.

Aussie Mum, I had people assume our first was an accident. Quote "So, didn't the pill work for you?" And yes, that was from a Christian. Umm, no, I wasn't on the pill, we wanted to start a family

LOL, Jaylene! My husband loved to say that as long as our baby wasn't an elephant that he would be happy.

Um, yeah, I know what you mean Meg! I tended to be proactive and state that it wasn't a surprise before people even had the chance to ask. I still heard the question more than once though. (Our precious baby girl was born 9 months and 15 days after our wedding)

What difference does it make whether a baby was a surprise or not? Isn't every baby a special gift and surprise from the Lord? No one is guaranteed fertility anyway. And that question about the pill is tasteless, Meg, because many women don't use the pill at all. Why should anyone assume that you use it and why is it their business anyway?

well no baby is an accident, the Lord is always involved - !!!

A baby may be a suprise, but it's not a suprise in the sense of there being no involvement from the Lord, as the Bible says, he numbers our days, determines our times to be born. I like it!

How could anyone think a sweet little baby is an accident. :D

Yep, couldn't put it better myself! I was just gobsmacked that anyone would ask me that! And another girl I knew said to my mum "I assume that was an accident?" when she heard I was pregnant  Mum was pretty annoyed, let me tell you! I mean, how dare anyone "assume" something like that?

my sister said to me quite angrily "you mean, you did it deliberately?' when she found out we decided on a baby (when I was having the twins). Thankfully she has come back to the Lord and would never make comments like that these days.

Now she just says that "people look at you and think they know ALL about your life", which is true. Which I guess is why Jesus tells us not to judge others otherwise the favour will be returned.

Pretty smart guy :D must be why we all love him.
