I just purchased one from Rach's site. Now here's my dilema. are all fuzzi bunz pocket, aio or what? Do i need a cover for it? This is all just too much for me to soak in.

Fuzzi Bunz are a pocket diaper. You just have to put an insert in the pocket before you use them - that's it! Did yours come with an insert? I think they all do now. When I bought mine, I had to buy my inserts separately. No need for a cover. I have been using mine for almost 3 years and I love them! I hope you do too! :D

Thanks Kim.
I'm really excited. It does come with an insert. Can I also add my own kind of inserts, like a terry cloth or something?

Yep.. whatever you prefer! I find terry is kinda bulky for how much wetness it holds.. I love microfiber!!

Most new purchased f.b do come with an insert ( I know Rach's do). F.B's are pocket dipes and the don't require an extra cover. I started out with AIO's (all-in-ones) because I thought I could save a step and dh thought they'd be easier for him. I used wonderoos (no longer in business) and swaddlebees to start. I ended up trying a F.B and have entirely switched over. I stuff them when they come out of the wash and stack them ready to use and found it not to be any extra work. I appreciate that they have snaps (velcro- dipes, even those with fold back laundry tabs) seem to snag on everything for me and wear out faster. They also take only one dryer cycle to dry for me, versus 2-3 for AIO's. I keep a few of my swaddlebees around for church, because they have velcro they get put on exactly like a disposable which makes nursery staff much more comfortable. The two steps of snaps throw them. You could also use a disposable for those times if needed. I love my F.B's and am so happy that I tried them out. FYI, I do hear they are a bit small for a new born. I started out with XS or preemie size AIO's, but then again my baby truly was a preemie. I started using F.B's at around 9lbs. Our little one was six months today and weighs around 13 1/2lbs, I've just started to order some Mediums to transition over. They say those should go to 30lbs, which may be potty time for us since our girls are usually petite. I also use one disposable at night but know others who double stuff their dipes or use bamboo inserts instead. I have 8 F.B total, 3 Swaddlebees (which I only use when someone else needs to use them) and I wash every other day. HTH

Of course! But I agree with Ashlee, that the terry might be bulky. My fav insert is a cotton fleece/hemp blend. Super absorbant and not bulky.

another option, we bought a couple of pockets, and I didn't care for the pocket aspect of them, so I just used them as covers and instead of stuffing them, used either a fitted or a prefold just layed into the dipe.
