Does anyone know if you can buy replacement valves for sippy cups in the store or do you have to get them from the company? I put all our sippy cups in a bag downstairs in our basement for the past 2 years - just got them out and apparently something got into them and chewed on the valves so I need to get new valves. the cups are fine, just washed all of them (used some bleach in the water too).

Many brands do sell replacement valves in Walmart, Target, grocery store, etc. I've found though that they come out with updated models every year or so thought- so if yours are a bit older they may no longer have them in store. Then you'd need to call the company or go online I suppose. Good luck!

Yes like Beth said many stores carry replacement valves. Sometimes you can google the product and it may show you what the packaging may look like so you know what you are looking for. Those sippy cup isles are scary, the varities they have is mind boggling anymore.
Thankfully we are past the sippy cup stage.

I hate those little valves. They just get messy. And my kids only drink water LOL I couldn't imagine if juice or milk was left in them. Ugh.

Anywho...yeah, depending on just how old they are/what 'model', the stores may have replacement valves.

I dislike those things too - even after bleaching them, they still look gunky! Makes me just want to throw them all out and buy new ones!

hmmm. not to hijack, but we've never had a problem with our valves. (except when Bri throws them against the wall, they sometimes dislodge) and when I bleach them they look just as new. Guess it's just a personal preference, LOL

But yeah, walmart usually has them. Unless you're using those Nuby cups with the white plastic one. You have to buy the cups, but the cups are less than a buck, lol.

Thanks everyone, I found them at Meijers but will need to get more (only had 2 pkges.) It's just not something I've had to look for so I wasn't sure if I could get them in the store or if I would need to get them directly from the company.

See, I just don't like the idea that I would *need* to bleach them in order to clean them well That's my issue with them.

Though I do much prefer the silicone deals better than the hard plastic ones.
But my kids don't like to have to 'suck' on their cups..yet I am not ready for them to have an open cup..so, I only partly put the valve in. Enough to stop a flood when the cup tips, but the kid can simply 'drink' ;)

I'm liking those take n toss cups. No valve! Woohoo! And cheap LOL Another great bonus for me. I despise spending $ on cups. Ugh! $5 for "A" cup? Are you KIDDING me!?! Nah. Not happening!
And I'm always disappointed any time I have 'splurged' anyway. So, I stick with the take n toss. Especially now that I couldn't find just plain ole sippy lids. You know, like Tupperware. The classics we had as kids. I had some off brand of those from WalMart and they served us just fine..but they weren't there last time I looked (uh, last week!). If anyone has seem them elsewhere, could ya please let me know? I don't travel to Target unless I have a reason...this would be such a reason if I knew they were there LOL

I just got some sippy cups called Nuby that were only a buck so not to bad and you can switch the valve for fast or slow flow.

I don't use bleach as it is a registered pesticide. I just make sure I collect them each day and wash them really good if one happens to get missed I use a q-tip to clean it out with hot soapy water.

Tara, tupperware still has those cups. I've thought of getting some myself, but they're expensive. They sell the cups and lids seperate. The lids are $6.50 for 4. Their item ## in case you want it, is 507. The cups, are $9.50 for 4. One each of green, orange, yellow, and aqua. Item # 516.

So, it would be like $16 for 4 cups. There goes almost $5 a cup, Ha.

Yuh...the Tupperware is ridiculous! There must be some off-brand ones somewhere, huh?
