My little Micah loves, loves, LOVES to be held. He will not let me put him down. Seriously, every time I put him down he cries, and this happens all day every day! But thank God for my Moby! If I didn't have that thing nothing would get done and no-one would be fed.....LOL. Tonight I had him in the Moby so that I could feed Abby her supper but after an hour he wanted out. Anyone got any other suggestions of things to help him settle so that my arms don't fall off?? Or anyone else had/have a baby that won't let you put them down??

Mine just learn to deal with it. I don't have a problem packing them around, but there just comes a point where I need a break or whatever. I just put 'em in bed and walk away. They may fuss for a few minutes but that's generally all it is with mine.

Other than that...do you have a swing?

Yeah swings are great. They were a lifesaver with katherine. The one was have isn't until they are 6 weeks or something. We also have an ergo baby carrier - ANOTHER lifesaver lol.

Also walks in the stroller always calmed katherine when she was small. :-) and car rides. LOL we took quite a few car rides to get her to sleep when i was going to pull my hair out if things didn't calm down those first few months LOL. Haven't had to do any of that yet with Nathaniel...

My first was like that...set him down...he'd scream and NOT ever stop...my biceps got giant sized! LOL...oy! Feel your pain, literally....
I snugglied the little coot ALL the time....sling when really little....the Boppy brand infant seat is really deep and surround you on all sides and the vibrator is really gentle on it, SAVED my life!
Mine hated the swing and exersaucer when age appropriate, so that didn't help us, but our friend had a swing that went side to side instead of front to back and my son seemed okay with that...might try it!
Good luck!

Josh is like that too. I have a sling and it has saved my life also! Josh goes everywhere in that thing and will stay asleep forever. He hates the swing (we have the side to side and front to back) but he loves his bouncer with vibration. He will sit in that for a while watching me do things. I love the sling to nuse in too, I can NIP without antone knowing.

Firstly - is he well. My one will cry non-stop to be picked up in the arms when there is something like a middle ear infection or something not right.

otherwise...if there is any of that "seperation axiety" and I am feeling I need a break, I place him in the pram, and keep him him near that way, as it can go around into just about every room in our home. Then he can see me, I can sooth him by pushing the pram around the house (or just backwards and forward)
He can sit in it and play, or I can place him down to sleep. I could not have done without that pram. He was such a big baby, my arms would never have made it otherwise - forget about getting anything done.

I feel for you. Bet you have LOADS of patience too ! :)

I've tried the swing, he likes it for all of ten minutes....LOL. And I've tried leaving him to settle himself, but nope he just screams and screams. He doesn't like the bouncer chair for long either. He was better yesterday, I got him to sleep on his own in his bassinet thingy. Oh well, guess he just loves cuddles :~)

Eva, you've probably already posted this but I haven't been around c-moms for a while.... how did your labour and delivery go? Were you able to go for that VBAC you were hoping for?

I have a month left until this little munchkin is due and I'm hoping and praying for a VBAC! I'm getting a lot of discouragement though from family and friends. :(
