View Full Version : Away with you annoying hormones!!

OH dear, I have had the worst hormone swings the past few days.
I go through this stage of feeling like crazy nesting with bursts of energy and then feeling like doing nothing, and then feeling like crying (over who knows what LOL).

I never had this with the twins

We are meant to be going out for dinner tonight at another couples house and I can't be bothered because I get way too tired at night (ready for bed at 7.30  ) and then the PIL are over Friday night and I just want to burst into tears because I don't want to deal with MIL at the moment.

Am I the only one who is feeling sooooooo crazy like this?

Oh sweetie I remember my mood swings when I was pregnant. I was the same way. Hormones stink and are hard to control, actually you can't control them! I'll be praying for you! Stephanie :D :D

:? So sorry the ugly hormones are giving you a hard way to go! Remember you are not crazy even though you feel like it! I will be praying. It will all be over before you know it and you will be holding another beautiful life that God has granted you to care for! [girlsmiley] Big hug! [hug]

You never had that with your first pregnancy?! You lucky thing! LOL
I had it last time and have it this time. Half the time I don't know why I cry LOL
I am so ready for the baby to pop out now!
But I do need the next 7 weeks to finish getting ready.

No wonder you are hormonal/upset right now... your PIL are coming to stay! I would be the same way....

I know what you mean about the hormones. My poor husband. I don't know how he can stand me. And he's been working strange shifts, and that sets me off worse since his lunch hours are on different times each day, and I like to eat with him, so my food intake isn't regular (bad, I know, but I like to eat with him), and he gets home a different times and has had strange days off, which throws my routines off whack.

Anemia can make it worse I found out. How is your iron?

I can't wait to hold Dainyah on the outside of me!!!!! She is currently kicking around so hard that my body moves while I am sitting here typing this. It is funny to jerk like that. Though, I'm glad no one is here to see.

Oh, but you're beautiful! :) Here in America now all the clothes for pregnant women do not hide their bellies, but flaunt it! :P I understand though, I so often would feel very much the same way. With 4 pregnancies in 6 years I gained a total through all 4 of over 210 pounds( 45, 50, 60 and 55)! I did however lose the weight after each baby before the next! Or gee whiz think how big I would be now! You are beautiful and wonderful and I am sure that dh thinks the same! Hang in there Aussie Mum! The ride can get tough but oh, remember the end of it? The joy of holding that little one? You are too funny!

Ooohhh, Aussie Mummie... :( :( Don't feel sad. Leslie's right about everything. I think pregnant women are so pretty. I really do. [OK] Pregnant women look like they're having a baby. They don't look fat. Take the time to notice how people are looking at you when you leave the house. Look at their faces. I'll bet you're bringing smiles to so many faces right now. People LOVE pregnant mommies. [lovesmile] [pregnantside] Think how many women would trade places with you in a heartbeat. Many!!! I sure would! Hormones and physical discomfort can make you feel down on yourself. You're at the fast growing stage now. You're probably changing daily. Please try to remember how pretty you are and how lucky you are to have a baby inside of you. BLESSED GIRL!! I'm jealous.

You are definately not the only one who is feeling so crazy with the pregnancy hormones. I am starting to feel like I am completely losing my mind. My tolerance with hubby and son is down really low. And forget multitasking - I can't remember what I was going to do or what I have already done (it is driving me up the wall). My hormones are combining with tiredness (looking after a sick toddler and being sick myself) to convince me that I am totally losing the plot. Unfortunately, I'm getting some crazy anxiety attacks too at the moment. Hang in there :) . I hope that today is a good one.

Yep I agree... you are still beautiful Aussie Mum! :D I think all pregnant women look beautiful.

LOL Sophie is doing the same! The other night I was lying on my back and I had like a cone shape sticking out of my tummy. LOL She must have been in a funny position!
And last night I was lying on the couch and she was kicking all over the place really hard.

Speaking of hormones... does anyone else have any trouble tolerating loud noise at the moment? I can't stand the TV being up too loud and I have been staying with my parents while my DH has been away for work and they were sitting my 9 y.o nephew who has ADD and is OTT with noise etc ... drives me batty LOL.
