OK with nursing I had oversupply with katherine... we eventually got it under control using block feeding
So I am having the same problem again... really bad... so bad ( ok this is embarrassing) I have to use diapers for nursing pads right now LOL... my breasts hurt all the time from engorgement.
Anyway Nathaniel's poo was normal bf color for the first week before my milk came in full force but then after the circumcision it turned green and he got really gassy (this is about the time I started having tons of milk) well it is day 4 after the circ and I switched to block feeding last night - today he had a few dark orange poops but they were still mucousy...
My question is is *dark* orange poo fairly normal, and if the oversupply is fixing itself so it is yellow/orange shouldn't the mucus go away too? I heard the green could also indicate an allergy but my diet hasnt' changed since last week and he didn't have any problems until I started having mega full breasts... so I am not sure??

Wow...I'm not sure. Does anybody else know?
By-the-way, don't feel ashamed about the diapers in the bra thing. I did that after I had dd!

OUCH! I had engorged breasts with DD and used cabbage leafs to find some relieve but what you're talking about sounds rather painful. I would talk to her ped. about it and see what he/she has to say.

Awww, Nicole.. ouch! I overproduced with Scotty. I used cloth diapers, like you! heehee Scotty was born a few days before Thanksgiving, and I went to our big family get-together with cloth diapers safety pinned to the inside of my shirt! LOL! Owie!!
I don't know about the poop, though. I don't have any experience with odd colored poopies. Good luck, my friend.
*hugs*

Well I am glad I am not the only one wearing diapers in my bra LOL!! Thanks for the replies... we are going to call the doctor in the morning.. Dh thinks it might have been the colace i was taking b/c I had a really bad reaction to it (hideous cramps and loose bowels) and he wondered if it could pass through breastmilk... supposedly it can but in small amounts... i don't know if that would be enough to affect baby. It's supposed to be really safe but since I had a bad reaction, who knows. He is still having really watery, frequent stools (like WAY more than he should)... yuck.
Anyway I am just hoping it resolves itself and that my engorgement goes away soon... i have been very vigilant making sure he is getting plenty of the fatty milk and not too much foremilk so maybe that will help.

I had oversupply issues with Gabriella, and I only wish I had of thought of using diapers in my bra, lol. Thankfully I didn't have to go very far from home for the first month after I had her so I just changed my shirt every 5 minutes.
I went to the le leche league forums and got a lot of help from the ladies there. To resolve the problem I had to nurse on the same side for 3-4 hours. The opposite side would be engorged so I had to express a tiny bit just to releive some of the pain. I was able to gradually go from 3-4hrs, to 2hrs, then 1 hr and it was resolved in about a week after that. I do remember Gabriellas poop being different, more frothy, but I dont think it was green or orange, not to sure what to think about that.

I've had diaper bra before too. Sorry, no help with the rest though.

I'd say it could definitely be a reaction to the Colace. I took Milk of magnesia when my son was about a week old, and he had terrible diarrhea, just lots of really runny stool. Made me feel so bad.
I really hope your engorgement is relieved soon - I never had it that bad, but what I experienced was painful enough! It's hard to be so sore everywhere at once.

OK well his stools are back to normal. The health clinic said it could definitely have been colace. Well I am just relieved they are normal again. :-D
