AHHHHHH.... I'm about to have a new baby in about 5 weeks and all of the sudden my 19 month old daughter who has always been the dream baby - isn't napping. I've started to go up there to rock her to sleep which I've never ever had to do in her life. I can't keep that up though once the baby comes!!!! It takes like half an hour before she finally falls asleep. I don't want her to get into that habit of me doing that but it's the only thing that seems to be working.

What do I do?!! Isn't it waaaaaay too early for her to be dropping that nap?!

Does she seem really tired and grumpy by evening if she doesn't get a nap? If so, would it work to possibly push her naptime back an hour or two til she's more tired?
Maybe she senses that things are about to change in her life and wants more Mommy time than usual? don't know, just throwing that out there.
sorry you're going through this - I know when I was five weeks from my due date, I wanted a daily nap myself! it would have been tough if my daughter wouldn't have napped!

Ya, I'm thinking that I'll try pushing her nap back an hour or so just to see if that helps. Just means I now have to figure out how to fill that extra hour with activity!! I'm already running out of ideas. :) I love our cuddle time with me rocking her to sleep however, I don't want to keep it up.

Thanks for the suggestions ladies!!!
