View Full Version : Only one week to go...
until my next US. I thought the time would go really slowly but it hasn't been too bad. I will be eating some chocolate beforehand this time and hopefully that will get this baby moving about.
I felt some small kicks yesterday. I think I've been feeling the movements for awhile but they are so small that it's hard to tell.
I think I've started having BH contractions already too. My stomach gets all tight. It's a weird feeling.
Well better luck this time around then! Hopefully the ultrasound works out how you want it too :D
Try eating some chili too LOL
xo Aussie Mum
LOL oooh I love chilli... curry and especially butter chicken too. But I get heartburn if I eat it. I used to be on Losec for the heartburn because it was a regular occurence. But I can't take that now that I'm pregnant. So I don't often have curries anymore.

I ended up having to take Zantac for my acid reflux b/c it was so bad. I didn't find out I could take it til my pregnancy was almost over though. :? I probably hold the record for most Tums eaten in a 9 1/2 mo span!
I basically lived on QuickEze in the last two or three months of my last pregnancy LOL I definitely had to have more than the daily dosage.

I had to take lots of Tum's early on with my dd but ds was nice to me! Stephanie
Butter Chicken is chicken in a curry sauce. The sauce is medium in hotness... if that makes sense. Not too hot. And there is usually Cardamon seeds in the sauce (grounded up), cream and other spices. It's curry basically. With white rice. And papadum bread. It's Indian. Although I've been told it's not actually an Indian meal... it is from England or Europe. They just make it now because it is so popular here.

If there is no butter why is it called Butter Chicken??
Hmmm there probably is butter in there. I don't know. I have never made it myself... I just buy it from the Indian takeaways or the frozen meals from the supermarket.
I guess cream and butter aren't much different. Don't you use cream to make butter? Or milk and salt. Then you spin it really fast.
I think they use the milk with the cream in it. We call it Silver Top milk here.

two things
One. My little guy was being stubborn and the ultra sound tech told me to have a fake coughing fit and that totally did the trick. I guzzle a thing of Gatorade right before the appointment and the little sucker slept right though that dose of sugar. So remember to do a lot of fake coughing.
Two. I ate tums like a maniac with number one. Got a kidney stone 9 months later. With this little guy they are having me take Zantac and told me to avoid any heartburn stuff with calcium.to prevent another stone from coming. Now I can't say definitively that tums gave me the kidney stone but I would be wary of popping too many. Passing that stone was was very close to labor if not worse.[whatblah]
Hope everything works out for you.

Wow thanks for that info! I will definitely try the coughing.
I will stay away from the QuickEze if it has calcium in it. I am not sure if it does. I don't use Tums. They are more for sore stomachs/indigestion right? I have acid reflux. I bring up that horrible bile. So I have to use something. I used to be on Losec. I think I know what Zantac is. I am not sure if I can take it. I know my ex did and he said it was horrible stuff that made him want to puke.

I can understand the acid reflux. When it first started with this one I was wishing for my morning sickness back. I take Zantac for heartburn and the acid reflux. I do occasionally get a bitter or metalic taste in my mouth but I will take that any day over the yummy taste of stomach bile. In America some of the doses of Zantac are over the counter and some are not. My Zantac is prescription. But my OB said if that did not work there were many other things we could try she was just starting me out on the bottom rung.
Ok. I think I'm too scared to take it because I saw what it did to my ex LOL
We'll see how I go this time... it might not be an issue. I had a really sore tailbone with my last pregnancy and I haven't had that so far ... *TOUCH WOOD*
