Like Cheeseburger, I am not actually TTC, but I am trying to use NFP to avoid pg for now. I hope no one minds me posting here, you guys seem like the go-to experts. I am nursing; I try to make sure to do all my temping after at least 3 hrs of sleep and my temp always seems within the same basic range so far and I am NCF on the other fertility sign front.

I did get my first post-partum pd which should mean I am starting to ovulate again but it has been over 2 weeks since the first day of my pd and no temp shift or change in CF. I know things can be kind of wacky right after you give birth but has anyone ever had a chart like this? How long before your body got its rhythm back?

It may take a while for your body to get back into gear after getting your first PPAF. Also, there are many woman out there, including me who don't O right on day 14. That is an average based on an average 28 day cycle, but as it is in life, it's not an exact science. Also, because you are just getting your cycles back, you could go another two or three months without another Af, or get back to regularity right away. Only the Lord knows! ;-)

I say, keep on temping, vaginal if possible (I found it's waaaay more accurate, and I temped orally for years) and see what patterns arise!

I got my first ppaf at 7 mos pp. i had just weaned ds. I started charting right away and didn't o until day 18! I also got pg that month:) I think your body takes time to readjust.

I just started charting my temps and I didn't o until cd 20 or 21. I had a 41 day cycle. I am breastfeeding too.

I O around the 18-20 day mark. also, with you breastfeeding, chances are if you DO ovulate, it will probably be later than your non-nursing periods. At least that was the case with me.
