Ah yes, that is what we are lacking. Little One here is still having a difficult time switching day into night and night into day. It's almost 3 AM, and he's been up since 9 PM. I mistakenly thought that since today went well, i.e. plenty of alert time... that tonight would be one of the best ever. I was wrong. Very wrong. Great... now he's asleep... problem, I gave up being in the bedroom about 15 minutes ago because he was SO tired that all he could do was scream. (Kylesolekook, see, I knew I wouldn't be able to make it tonight at your campout for Ladies Fellowship. I can hear it now, newborn screams across your acreage, echoing off the hills... yeah, everyone would have loved that... ha ha ha)

Now I just pray that when I get up and work back through the house that Little One stays asleep. Sigh...

Nevermind, he only slept maybe 10 minutes, maybe, before waking up yet again... :...(

i'm sorry to hear that=( though we aren't having as much trouble, sleep is scarce here too. I keep reminding myself that this stage seems to take a while but, it really goes so, quick. . .in fact that's been my little self encouragment across the board- things will mesh and be normal in no time. -ren

Thinking of you and praying that he figures it out soon... we were like that for the first few weeks here too. My Mom swears by flipping them over with the help of DH (yes, literally :0 ). I never got up the courage to try it myself and always tried waking them more frequently to eat during the day. That can backfire too though as if they are too overtired and stressed they can't settle down either. Our 4th born in May was also the first one with true collic. Thankfully I new that it wasn't me and did my best to adjust. She settled down with the fussing at about 12-14wks and only just started sleeping through the night about a month ago. What a huge relief! Maybe you can get some rest during the day? I'm still taking a nap each day at almost 5mths. I think I need it as much if not more than the baby does!

***Blushing***

I feel so guilty! My little guy has really done so great sleeping since about the 3-4 week mark. I hate that you guys are all still getting up so often or having to stay up so late!!!

***Embarrassed Smile****

I will be praying for each of you. I know how hard it was on me that first few weeks trying to get up with Cash and be at work every morning too. I feel so blessed now that he sleeps for 6-7 hours at night. I wish I could trade out with you ladies some! You guys need the sleep too!!!

I love each of you and pray that God calms their spirits and bodies enough to rest better for you!

Coming from the "Sleeping while sitting upright" expert here, I so know what you are feeling. Micah only wakes up about 2 times a night which IMO is good. Hopefully he will be as good as Abby was, she slept 8hrs from 5wks old and she was breastfed. But the sleeping while sitting up thing is killing me, I keep waking up and my neck is in agony. I will add that Micah is completely supported by a v-pillow so don't freak out thinking that I fell asleep and my baby is gonna fall to the ground....LOL. He's comfy, but his mommy isn't.....LOL. Anyway, hope you ladies get some sleep soon!

I feel for you. in the beging Josh woke up every 1 1/2 hours. now he wakes up between 2-4 hours. I am SO I tired I just want to hide somewhere and sleep all day. I hope he will start sleeping soon. Oh I forgot to mention that since we are in a one bedroom apartment he sleeps in a co-sleeper right next to me. He is a very noisy sleeper so that keeps me up too. also it would be nice since we are co-sleeping to just reach over and feed in bed...but no we have breastfeeding issues and can't do it, so I can't even enjoy that benifit with having him right next to me. grrr, I am frustrated tonight sorry ladies.
