Can any 3rd trimester moms relate? I want to have this baby so that my body and skin rash can go back to normal. I'm tired of scratching, tired of itching, tired of pain, tired of sleeplessless due to itching and frequent urination, tired, tired, tired!

Oh, please, don't let me go overdue! LOL.

I was ready to have Riley when I was like 4 months pregnant! Same wtih this one. I just hate being pregnant. Hang in there, it'll be over before you know it.

Oh and as far as the sleepless nights, those don't go away after you have the baby. :D

:D I'm sorry but I just had to stick my nose in here, you know me [whatliar]. I remember those days of misery before you have your baby and how you just can't seem to get comfortable or rest good or walk normal for that matter. It will all be over soon and things will improve. Of course Beck is right about the sleep though! But just remember to rest when baby rest and to take it easy. Don't stress about the housework, it can get done when they're grown  . Stephanie

LOL, Stephanie. Reminds me of the saying, "Cleaning the house while your kids are still growing is like shovelling the walk while it's still snowing."

All I can say is hang in there!! With my first I felt like that by the last 4-6 weeks, but with my 2nd it was such a different pregnancy and I just LOVED it!! :D I actually kind of miss being pregnant!!!
I had a rash too with my first pregnancy and it was miserable,I would just take cold showers, quite often at 3am as I was sooooo itchy and I would put ice packs on there, whatever would work! I will pray for you as I can appreicate how hard the last few weeks can be!!

Ugg well I am only 26 weeks but the baby seems to LOVE sleeping on my pelvic floor, and I was only saying to DH yesterday, I just can't get any bigger or more uncomfortable.

[crybawl]

The main thing is I can't even bend over or squat down without extreme pain to behind my pubic bone so I am constantly saying to the twins "pick that up and bring it to Mummy" I completely gave up yesterday and got DH to put their shoes on.

All I want to to is lay on a couch all day. I feel like such a boring wife and almost like I have to pretend I am not exhausted to keep DH entertained with me (does that even make sense?)

Has anyone else had a low placenta? I am guessing this is why the baby is down so low... but asking doc on Wednesday to confirm this.

Ruth I am actually JEALOUS of the week you are in LOL! I would so love to be there because then I would know it's going to be over sooner than 12 wks....

Jayne, you mentioned that you had a skin rash. What type was it and how long did it last? Mine is eczema and it started around the beginning of my 2nd trimester and has lasted till the present. (I've had it for over 20 weeks now) That gives me hope that you didn't have it with your 2nd pregnancy!

Good luck! I know the feeling, I loved being pregnant up until about 32 weeks and then it kind of went down hill from there...I had my son early as well, so thankfully I didn't go overdue and he was still fine...but we'll see about this baby! Feel better!

Ah, 36 weeks and counting....

After reading this, I am so thinking adoption for the next one...

LOL, Lis. If you feel called to adopt that's great. You know, if anyone asks me about how many kids we are planning to have, my response might be a bit jaded right now! When I'm 8 months pregnant and scratching a skin rash might not be the best time to think about future plans for family! Hopefully if we have more I will develop amnesia...........

you will develop amnesia LOL. As soon as your child gets a bit older and you see and smell a newborn you will forget about NFP and all the discomforts and go "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww honey" ROTF

Yes I forgot myself what it was like to have a baby grating it's head on my tender bladder

  I am 31 weeks and sick of being pregnant LOL!

I read a fantastic article that this "sick of being pregnant" business is natures (or God from our POV) way of getting us into gear for the impending arrival by taking our concern off the pregnancy and focusing us on the tasks ahead (giving birth and taking care of a new life).

The "over-it's" apparently teaches us to long for the baby to be born and arouses in us a nurturing tendancy that is ready and awoken in time for the baby to be born.

I thought that article was a very nice and very floral way of putting things.

That's great, AussieMum. I think there's a lot of truth to that. I mean, if people were content to stay pregnant forever, where does the mothering come in?

Hi, Ruth,
I had a pregnancy rash with our first, also. She was born Nov 7, and I think it started coming on like mid Sept. They didn't say it was eczema though, but PUPPS (short abbreviation for LONG term). It nearly drove me crazy, so I can totally empathize. It was on my arms, legs, back, stomach...thankfully not my face. They finally sent me to dermatologist in early Oct. and he gave me a cream, started with a "t", sorry can't remember the name. I think it helped some. You might try Aveeno baths, or ask if your doc recommends Sarna lotion? The smell of that stuff takes me back! I did clear up after delivery, though, and blessedly did not have a recurrence with our next baby. I know how you feel! I have a scar on my leg from scratching it that my dd is kind of fascinated with! Funny! Hang in there, girl! You'll be itch free again before too long!

Hi Hollie,
Thanks for the encouragement. It's nice to hear from someone who knows what it's like! I developed this rash around 13 weeks, and at 38 weeks, it's still here! In total, if I carry to 40 weeks, I will have had this rash for a total of over 6 months. Crazy, huh?

Around 20 weeks, I went to the dermatologist and he prescribed Triamcinolone. That helped a lot, but of course didn't cure it. The OB told me to take Claritin and surprisingly that helped clear up the redness and itching in my face a lot. I'm not one that likes to take medication, so I waited until I was basically non-functional, had open sores, and couldn't sleep at night before getting any prescription help. I'm so glad I did, though, eventually go to the doctor. It saved my sanity!

I've seen pictures of PUPPP on the internet and it looks even worse than what I've had to deal with. And that's saying a lot because I have been miserable! That's such a blessing to hear that you had a PUPPP free pregnancy with your next one. It gives me hope since my husband and I do want more than one child! Fortunately, now my rash isn't too bad, surprisingly, and the last weeks don't appear to be as tough as months 4-8.

God bless and thanks for the encouragement!

I'm 13 weeks pregnant with my second and completely nautious right now. My sister in law is coming with her 1 month old boy tomorrow and my husband doesn't want me to tell her because it might make her jealous. I don't know how I'm going to act like I'm not still sick :? .

Anyways, hang in there your getting closer even though it seems like time is standing still.
