View Full Version : Nesting anyone?
 The time has come for "nutty" nesting for me. [pregnantside]
[chorevacuum]
Nothing looks right in my house or in place, and I am having to restrain my obessive behaviour because I ended up with SERIOUS ligament pain two nights running from rushing around perfecting things too much [rofl]
Anyone else KWIM? [OKOK] DH has told me to do nothing today but my pantry looks all wrong [jumping] - does pregnancy make us crazy or what?

I've been fighting the urge to rearrange my living room and bedroom. And even Hubby's study. However, the furnuture is all very heavy (steel framed couch with a hideaway bed in it, stuff like that) so I can not do it by myself. Besides Hubby threatened me good if I did it myself (he won't even let me flip the mattress on the bed by myself, and I am perfectly capable of it).
I haven't hit major cleaning mode yet, but then, I'm only one day into third trimester.

I always loved when I was nesting! I got so much done and when baby came, I was all ready. But of course once baby came I didn't have much time to clean then so I'm glad my house got that one last good cleaning! Stephanie

Nesting is such a fun and productive time. You're right, though, miss Aussie Mummy... don't over-do it on the work. We don't want to see you on the prayer request list with anything caused by excessive cleaning or redecorating. :D You be a good girl, okay? Don't make me come down there!! It's a VERY long way to go for me.  [pregnantside] [preggostorkboy] [preggostorkgirl]
Also, don't do this [sheepjumpingrope].... and I hear that this [jumping] [jumping] [jumping] is also a bad idea. Hard on the cervix and may give Bub a headache.

Yeah, nesting is hitting me big time right now! I'm like, oh my goodness, less than 7 weeks to go! The house needs major overhauling and I still have thank you cards for wedding gifts to write. I have to do one project at a time, though, and go slowly, because I just don't have the energy to do much more!
Joylynn - I have no more desire to jump or skip than I have the desire to swallow a razor blade and a glass of acid [rofl]
Now if I had an emoticon of a beached whale which has somehow managed to find it's way onto a sofa and fallen asleep that's what I actually feel like LOL however my hormones are driving me to unbeach and bleach
I FEEL SOOOOO BORING RIGHT NOW. [sleep]
I wish I did! I never had nesting last time. I thought that that only set in like just before baby is going to come (like maybe in the last day or two?). I went overdue so either I never got the chance to experience nesting or I must just be lazy? But I never had the urge to do major cleaning...
And I haven't yet so far this time either...
How many weeks along are you now?
I have 9 weeks to go and I still don't feel like cleaning. I keep thinking "we need to start getting this place ready..." but don't actually have the desire to do anything. *sigh*
I better get started pretty soon otherwise what if baby comes early?
Renee - 26 weeks and I had nesting last time also LOL.
Yeah an extreme bout of nesting can happen just before labour (like mad nesting, getting up in the night etc) my sister had manic nesting before she went into labour but it can also happen during the pregnancy.
Well I wish it would happen to me! This house needs a lot of work!
