I think everyone's body is different but imo nursing really helped. I think it took me 2 months to be totally normal and for that loose skin to tighten again:) But now #2 is on the way so loose skin will be back soon!!!

I think everyone is different also. My little one is 4 1/2mths old and I'm still not into most of my pre-preg. clothes! I'm still have quite a bit of extra skin in the tummy area also. I did have a c-sec. and this was #4 for us. Also I'll admit that I haven't done much working out either. Some people say to allow 9mths to lose the weight since you took 9 mths to gain it. Good luck!

It took me 2 years to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. I still have the flabby skin on my belly. I wear my pants so that the waist band hits me just in that section...holds things in. No one can tell I have flab!

Took me a year....and a lot of women...due to stretching, even when they get to the preg-preg weight...have the extra skin and it's not the "same" size/shape as it was before kiddos....so hang in there and you really have to get on a diet plan to keep yourself accountable. Exercise too to help strengthen those muscles and all back up again to normal.

Have you thought about wearing a pair of control top pantyhose during the day. (I know. Horrified smilie) It really helped my skin to go back to normal. Also, drinking a lot of water helped also!

Superman will be one tomorrow and Bri will be two in two weeks, and while I weigh less than i did prepreg, I am still bigger. I'm as of now 10 pounds less than i was before i got pregnant with the babies but instead of an 8-10 I'm in a 12-13. Hmmm. It takes all different women different times, but I think a good cardio/strength combo works best.

and honestly, my favorite pair of capris are maternity. I didn't wear the panel type jeans/shorts/etc. I wore the ones that had the band around them instead. and those one pair of capris are my faves, and b/c of the band, give me a flatter look. I can see myself wearing them two years from now as long as they're still in good shape, LOL

5 weeks post partum here. I've lost all of the "baby weight" I put on, but my body is still WAY different. I am a good 3 sizes larger in most clothes still. Amazing to me that the scale says the same as my first prenatal visit, yet my clothes say, oh no! LOL!!!

Don't fret, it will go back to normal. Kana is right tho. A combo of strength and cardio is the best bet. Lots of water, fruits & veggies too. Join our exercise encouragement challenge too! It's really helped me to stay focused cause I feel like if I put it out there for you guys to help me with, then someone will be riding my butt soon if I don't do what I said I would. KWIM???

Anyway, don't worry too much. Just enjoy that boy and know that regardless of how your body looks, he thinks you are beautiful! As I'm sure your husband does too!

well, lets see. . .had em in spring 2003, finally got down to comfortable weight summer 2006, got preggers dec 2006, had branflake late summer 2007- right back where I was after having Em=( BLAH! Not much fits but I refuse to where maternity or go shopping as it WILL fit soon- way sooner than it did with Em. I'm nursing like crazy- I have another kid to keep me busy and while she's busy with her YMCA activities, I'm strapping #2 on and walking like a crazy woman so, that I can get normal and into my happy clothes again! If it makes you feel better- Em liked blowing zerburts on my pregger belly, now my belly is "squissy" *yay*- quite shocking to her the first time she went to zerburt my post partum mush *sigh* now she smooshes her face right in and blows "real good ones"- walking. . .can I go right now? What time is it? =)-ren
