I thought it would be fun to see what type of environment other mommies live in. We live in the woods in the mountains near the coast. Very beautiful! We are blessed! :D
I guess this is classified as suburbs...its a subdivision..which would actually be a little nicer if we were entering through our own front door
My house was in the country on our private 5acres with a long dirt drive..I liked being away from everyone..
Sorry I couldn't vote, kept getting an error
hey my first vote to go through...cool 8)

We live in the country although we are close to the highway so that is nice. We do have other houses around us but not right on top of us. We enjoy the quietness and privacy here.

In the city...on one of the busiest streets in our city. The only thing that irritates me are those really loud cars that don't think mufflers are cool. Other than that, I absolutely love being this close to everything!

I put other, because I definitely wouldn't classify our very small town a city. But we live in town.

We live in the "burbs", but we don't have to drive very far to be out in the country.

I put country because that is the closest thing to the "boon docks" or the "sticks" as we say around here! It takes me maybe 15 minutes to get into town, which isn't bad. But to get to my house it seems like you drive and drive and drive and drive and drive and did I mention you drive?
Yep, boon docks!

I put the burbs?
We are 20 minutes out of Philly and on the Jersey side of the Delaware River. Our town is almost 20,000 strong, we have single homes on a half acre. We are home to Rowan University.

We live in Tulsa, which is a city but we are on the edge so it is considered the burbs. We love it! Not too close but close enough for shopping etc.

We live in the country, with cows in our back yard..! Some folks wouldn't like it, but for my husband & I we wouldn't have it any other way.
PS - Mama4ever you said you live near the Delaware River, did you have any flooding? We live around the Schuylkill River & many homes around here were damaged due to the floods? Just curious.

Thank you for asking. No we didn't have any flooding we are about 15 minutes from the river. Thank God like many people in this area we don't have flood insurance. But my roof was leaking so bad in the bathroom we had 4 buckets in there. We need prayer for the finances for a new roof and to get the right company to do it.

City - but I'd love to live somewhere more suburban at some point. One of my favorite quotes is that one "I'd rather sleep in the middle of nowhere than in any city in the world". :D

I live in a big city and I can't wait not to! It is nice being close to so many things but I feel like it is too congested, crowded, unhealthy here, not good for families who actually want to spend time together and it's not safe to play outside alot of the time.

I thought I did this one before [whatthink] but I live in the capitol city of NH; it is more like a big town, though... I hope to land back in my small town at some point.

We are most certainly in the country. As my oldest daughter says "the middle of absoulutely nowhere" .We used to live in town until I remarried and moved out here to the ranch. I'm lovin it!!

We live in the country about 20 minutes or so to the mountains.
Gina, I love your answer! The country part of the island! That just sounds like the best of both worlds!:-D Makes me want to come visit!

Gina, I want to come and visit you, too! I love Hawaii!!! [heartbeat][heartbeat][heartbeat]
For us, the answer is almost 'all of the above!' We're a handful of miles outside the outskirts of town, which makes us out of city limits, not annexed with the city, thus country living (no livestock close-by... nearest farms within 10 or so miles). We're also at the edge of our nation rain forest, up against the coastal water's edge, and a stone's throw from the mountains. LOL! And our one street neighborhood, is a mini-development (15 or so houses ? ) in the middle of nowhere, so it looks like mini 'burbs'. I often say we live on the moon, but our drive to the nearest town isn't that bad. We do like it here. It's like the best of all worlds outside your front door. LOL!

I put the subburbs, but we are out in the county and we have over an acre of land, so it is kind of like being in the country. We wish we were. There is about 500 acres behind us that is currently wooded. There is a plan to put 350 homes back there, but luckily for us, the part that is right behind us is being kept for natural park areas due to the creek line.
I put other because we don't live in a city. We are in a small town. It is a tourist town though, so the population fluctuates a lot in the summer. And our house is on the very edge of town, so we have no development behind our house. Just deer, coyotes, and gophers! :D
