How did you all tell your family you were pregnant? I didn't do anything special with Brooke or Lawson, I just told everyone over the phone. This time I thought of something creative. I was already working on a scrapbook for my mom when I found out so I thought of something cute to do. Check it out!
THIS IS MY NEPHEW, MY MOMS FIRST GRANDCHILD:

That's a great idea! Cute! That would be a blast to watch. Maybe get it on tape? :D
I love that! Very creative and unique..Good job!
I think if I have anymore, I'll tell them when we visit and I say " hang on I have something in the car to show you "

I just noticed that I got my due date wrong, its the 5th, not the 15th. Too late to fix it, I already shipped it off. Oh well!

That is adorable. Maybe next time.
We just got on the phone. Hubby made me wait until I had a positive hpt to tell our parents, but I knew I was pregnant within days of conceiving (I get really hot, especially at night and throw the blankets off. Normally I'm a cold person. Then, I start craving taco bell and dr. pepper. Both things I HATE).
I am going to have to be more creative next time. Thanks for the idea!
Crystal
We told our parents as soon as we found out and asked them not to tell anybody. We told our siblings when it was later on (probably 11 weeks or so). We weren't very creative I must admit LOL
We had all these pathetic blow ups with family over telling and how we told (on DH's side) - ... so we learn our lesson keep them all out of our business 100%. We haven't even told them about the placenta being too low.
I told my friend Michelle early but that is because I can trust her with my privacy also if anything ended up going wrong I really wouldnt have been opposed to her support in particular (more so than family).

That is so cool!! I have always wanted to do something fun... but never did... in fact this past time I was so upset when I found out that I just cried when I called my mom!

We got pregnant in November, so Christmas time put us close to 8 weeks along. I wrote out baby announcements in crayon on pastel colored paper and decorated them with little baby bottle decorations. Then I got little baby bottle favor holders and filled them with candy. I personalized each announcement with, "Yes, it's official! You're going to be a (aunt, grandma, etc.)" then I put the info about the names we had chosen, what the due date was and everything.
After I did all that, I wrapped up the announcements and we gave them to our family members as gifts. Boy were they surprised when they opened them! Then we went to the family get together that day with my DH's extended family and DH stood up and announced, "We decided that there weren't enough people at family get togethers, so we decided to add one more." LOL.

You girls know me... I'm a total blabbermouth!  EVERYONE knew when we decided to ttc. They ALL knew when af was due, and I got about a hunderd phone calls a day from the time we were ttc all the way to missed af with each one. All I had to do was wait for my phone to ring and say, "Yup!" [baby] [rofl] For the rest of the world, who didn't really care all that much, I wore shirts that said "BABY" on them from day one.
