(CNN) -- Madeleine McCann's blood was found in a car her parents rented 25 days after they reported her disappearance, family spokeswoman Justine McGuinness told CNN.
Police are also reported to have told McCann's mother Kate on Friday that she has been made a formal suspect in the disappearance of the young British girl.

What do you think of this case?
Personally, I have questioned why the parents would leave the children in a hotel room alone while they went to eat at a restaurant in the first place. I know I would never leave my children alone anywhere. I don't even leave my children in the car unattended. I would certainly never leave them in a hotel room by themselves in an entirely different country while vacationing! <insert shocked smiley here> Something has always seemed wrong or out of place with this case... JMHO.

Honestly, I haven't followed this case at all really, but after reading this, I agree with you. There is something "not right" about the whole thing, and I too would NEVER leave my child alone in a hotel room. Especially in a foreign country!

The mother of mady is now a suspect in the case and the police think that either she killed her little girl or she knew something about it. They are saying that they might have given their children sedatives on the night that they went for a meal. They also have found blood in the apartment where they were staying.
I think that there is something fishy about this case and feel that may be they could have killed their little girl by accident and became scared so made up this story. But I am not here to judge and the truth will come out soon enough,

Just to add on this one my dad and myself do not believe she was in that room when they went for the meal. The only way that she would have got out was through the corridors surely some one would have seen something. The blood they found in the car is said to be Maddy's blood but yet the parents are claiming they got the car on hire 25 days after she went missing.
I agree with many that something is not right here I just hope the police find out what happened to that little girl and I believe that she is now with the Lord. If this is the case may she rest in peace with God in his garden, poor little mite.

This is so, so sad ladies!! It breaks my heart. I pray they bring whomever did this to justice soon! Stephanie
Dh and I could never understand how parents could leave their children (esp. such young children!) alone in a hotel room while they went out for dinner. Poor, poor little thing.
Ever since I heard this it has grieved my heart. It really bothers me.

I agree with all of you here. I have thought all along that it was not right and extremely irresponsible to leave their children alone in the hotel. Whether or not they are guilty of her dissapearance or death they never should have left her alone in the first place! I really try not to judge other parents but to leave your children alone like that is just unacceptable. I hope the truth comes out soon so this poor little girl can rest in peace.

I haven't read up on this story. I try not to read news that concern child neglect and abuse, or of course murder. It just breaks my heart to think of defensless children suffering under the hand of an adult or another human being.
But reading everyones post, I got the jiff of things. I think the parents need to be prosecuted simply for neglect. May God's wrath fall hard and swift on these parents!
