View Full Version : Someone threw a burger ring at me!

I was so  and [thumbsdown] MAD yesterday, but today it seems quite funny! I was in the freezer aisle at the supermarket by myself (DH was minding the kids) and these naughty boys who were about 10 & 12 threw a burger ring at me and ran away - so I quickly loaded up my trolley with freezer stuff and then went charging through the supermarket to tell their father that an assault had been comitted on me by a burger ring from his son's hands (please read that tongue in cheek LOL). They managed to evade me somehow, and it was only when I was paying for my groceries and could not persue them that those awful boys appeared outside of the supermarket and walking out the doors with their Dad!

Who THROWS a burger ring at a pregnant woman? I must have looked like such a psycho racing around with my shopping trolley trying to catch these boys and dob them in. Now I am over being annoyed at their rudeness, I have to laugh at what I must have looked like.

SOme of my fruit scanned incorrectly so I got it for free, so perhaps that was God's way of calming me down so as not to cause a scene [rofl]

One day when they are old and grey they will remember what they did and feel bad LOL!

What is up with disrespectful kids??? Do their parents throw burger rings at them at home? Where do they learn to do this kind of stuff? (BTW, what's a burger ring?)

I was jogging a few years ago and it was at night. This truck drove by with punk kids in the bed of the truck and they were pelting golf balls at me! None of them hit me, but still, it's the principal of the thing.

It's one thing for kids to be kids, it's another for them to be disrespectful.

Sometimes I think it's a pure gang mentality birthed by parents who don't care, but not always! It's just the fallen nature coming through I think.

DO you know what a cheesel is Beck? Or a Twistie? It's like those except round like a ring, thinner than a cheesel, orange and flavoured like a burger.

Disrespective kids make me so mad! What is a burger ring? Whatever it is, it was not nice of them to throw it at you! Sometimes when I see disrespectful kids, I want to spank their bottoms and then spank their parent's bottoms for letting them act that way [rotfl] ! Stephanie

A cheezel is a round, cheese flavoured snack food, and a twistie is similar in flavour, but a short, twisted stick. Not a chip, not a biscuit. They come in a packet like chips, but aren't.

Burger rings are round, burger flavoured snacks.

Here, these are burger rings -

And these are twisties -

Back to the topic -

How rude! Why do some kids do that stuff?

once there was a disrespectful kid who spat on my sister's ford mustang...she then got out of her car, ripped the kid from the back of his father's pickup truck, proceeded to spank him with one hand while holding him with the other and giving him an earfull all the while (yup she's a loose canon)...The man came running out of the store to see this stranger beating his kid and he yelled out "what's going on here?" My sister told him what had happened and if he wanted to call the cops to do it! The man looked at his son and said
" guess you won't do that again will you? " Then he made him appologize.

Oh funny Lis! I don't blame her for doing that. If someone spit on my car, even though it is far from new, I would probably do the same. Stephanie

I'm just not like that...I would have huffed a bit and moved my car so I could clean it......borderline doormat here

Awww meg you beat me to it! (was gonna post a link for Burger rings) :( LOL it's ok.

I always thought of them as chips though. :?

Anyway,

Beck - golf balls??!! Wow  I would have been furious. I probably would have picked them up and thrown them back.  but I know I know ... not a very good idea.

I used to like Burger Rings but now they are just too overpowering for me... like Salt & Vinegar chips. ICK just too strong!
I love Eta Uppercuts Roast Lamb & Mint chips :D YUMMY!!!

Renee I remember YEARS and YEARS ago you could not get twisties in NZ and when my friend Nicole would come and visit us in Oz she would load up on twisties or if we went to see her we had to get her a quota of them. SHe was very proud the day the twisties became imported to NZ.

mmm I love cheetos!
