View Full Version : I hope...
Katielady 08-08-2007, 11:45 AM that today is the day. I started having contractions last night around 5pm and they haven't stopped since. They are only 8 minutes apart...but I am pretty much in constant pain now. KWIM? My whole abdomen and lower back are just constantly aching and then about every 7-8 minutes I have sharp pains....?????
Talked to my doctor (going to let the OB I've been with deliver me) and she said to wait til they were more like 5-6 minutes apart and I are really painful. So far I am able to function pretty well here at work, but they are getting more and more difficult to tolerate sitting down at this desk!
So...please pray that they keep going and get worse, cause I am extremely tired at this point and not sure if I will make it through the workday regardless!
I'll keep you posted if I head to L&D.
Oh, honey, I know you have GOT to be sick and tired of all these contractions, and the emotional ups and downs of all this! I'm praying for you, hun! I know all the ladies here will too! :) I hope you have him today/tomorrow!!! :)
kanaclark 08-08-2007, 12:09 PM Katie,
hon, first of all, I haven't forgotten about you. I've been kinda sparse around here and everywhere else.
2nd, hopefully, and it sounds like, this could be it.
Will be praying that all goes well. I know what it's like to work while in labor. Been there. It's not fun, is it? But, well, we gotta do what we gotta do.
Praying for ya, babe.
Kana

Katielady 08-08-2007, 02:45 PM Still in pain. Doc says to keep waiting it out. Exhausted and now crying cause I am just SO ready for this to be overwith.
Don't know what to do, cause if I go to L&D they wil just send me home if I am less than 5cm. Can't really afford to take the time off to go there either.
She doesn't want to induce now because I am in such "active labor" she doesn't want to cause me more physical pain by giving me hormones to speed things up. She "thinks" he will come within a few days...but come on!!!! I've been doing this for how long now??? And I just don't think I can emotionally or physically handle working while laboring like this anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why can't they just help things along a teeny tiny bit?????
Blessed 2 B Zoe 08-08-2007, 03:04 PM If there is no way that you can take the time off is there any thing at work they can do to help. Give you a pillow for your back or something to put your feet on. I wish I could be there to give you a great big hug, but as I can not I am sending up prayers for you.
believeNgrace 08-08-2007, 03:14 PM Watching, Waiting, and Praying for you!!!! It's almost time....getting excited for you but hoping you can be as comfortable as possible til baby Cash arrives. Keep us posted!!

Praying that little Cash is here!!!
Timmys mom 08-09-2007, 10:25 AM Aww, I just read this. Maybe you've already had him by now! :D Praying
I would say that what you are in right now is the worst part of labor... the point leading up to transition and the REAL part of delivery. The labor it takes for your cervix to open and ripen (in MHO) is the worst of it all... everything else is just a very quick race down a hill.... I feel sorry for you, that's for sure.
I always had such long tough labors, so I DO understand... my "contracting" started around week 31 in each pregnancy and I wound up in L&D a few times, but I was changing slowly, so I had contractions all that time.
It DOES stink, but your body *IS* doing something, even if it cannot be measured by an OB.. it IS your body gearing up. You poor thing, I'm praying for your comfort. Just keep remembering to take deep breaths and call on Jesus!! That's the only way I got through all that... I kept calling out for strength, and I got it. You *CAN* do this, hun. We sure love you here! Lots of hugs!
LaDonna 08-09-2007, 09:38 PM Has anyone heard from Supermanslady today. I haven't seen any post from her so maybe that is a good sign. Bless her heart I know she is ready to welcome her little boy into the world and be more at ease and comfortable
