Hi,
My dd, who is a little over 2 yo, does wonderful at the sitters during the day but when we get her at home, she can go into these fits where she won't make up her mind, and continue to go back and forth, back and forth between wanting something and not wanting it. If we put our foot down and make a decision, she doesn't like it and starts screaming. I put her on time out to calm her down and sometimes this helps and mostly we have to put up with her screaming. Thankfully I will be done my seasonal job in 6 weeks but in the meantime it is very hard to deal with! Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Are you sure that she's getting enough rest? I wonder if her napping/bedtime has been disrupted by your seasonal job... since she's so grouchy when she gets home it almost sounds like she may be overtired. You could try moving her bedtime up 10 or so minutes per day for a a few days and see if there's an improvement.
Also I often see with my own kids and preschool students that they hold things in all day with sitter or childcare and once mom or dad gets them they then fall to pieces. Just a few thoughts- hope this helps.

Are you sure my son isn't there?!?! He has done the same things...I want this, but when he'd get it: "Nooooooo!" So we'd take it away: "Noooo!"

It is hard, but hopefully a phase. We did time outs and going to room, just play by ear. Not much help, but as they say misery loves company!

I am wondering too if she may be having a hard time with transitions? Going from ther babysitter to home? My ds screams too when he is frustrated and esp. when he has a transition!
But it may also be something as simple as her being just exhausted too! Giving her a time to calm is a good idea! By the way, does your little one walk on her tip toes? I can't remember if it is your dd. Pm me :)

My dd does this when she isn't getting enough sleep. As much as I hate it I have had to bump her bedtime up by 30 minutes.
