Okay...odd question here: Did any of you ladies notice your breasts leaking more closer to delivery?

In the 2nd trimester, I started using nursing pads off and on simply because I tended to leak enough to show through my shirt. It subsided around the first of the 3rd trimester and has just been a rare occurence since then.

Suddenly, this morning, it's as if my milk has come in!!! I looked down earlier and the entire left side of my blouse was SOAKED! Thankfully we have one of those blower hand dryers in our bathroom here at work, so I rinsed my shirt out and blew it dry...stained but not as noticeable.

Just wondering if any of you have experienced this right before labor????

You know... I'm lost in thinking about this one... I KNOW my milk came in *after* labor with most of them... but, you know, I think with the twins, my milk came in much sooner and I could actually express great quantities, if I would have tried. But, I have always had milk, from my very first pregnancy some ten years ago! So, I don't know if I'm just a very ... umm... lactating person or if that's normal or what.

I *DO* remember very vividly that one of my first and foremost symptoms of pregnancy is that my nipples grow and darken over night... before I even take a pregnancy test. (Remind me of this when I'm wondering if I'm pregnant, okay?) Everybody's different... and Katie, you are SO close to giving birth, it does *NOT* surprise me that your body is more than ready!

My breasts started leaking about 2 months before Maddy was born...not a lot...but they were...everyone is different...I wouldn't take it as anything other than a sign of how close you're getting! :)

Yeah i leaked lots... started at 7 months.... had to start putting towels on the bed around 8 months LOL... i had ridiculous amounts of colostrum prior to delivery.

I am leaking and have been since the 2nd tri. Maybe not as much as you are stating but I know last night it was enough to be dripping.

I just started leaking about a week ago. I don't think I leaked this early with Abby, but maybe that is bcuz I breastfed her and my boobs are getting ready to do it again. I'm not leaking enough to soak my shirt though. It probably is your body just gearing up for the baby.

during my pg iwth Emma I started leaking around 12 weeks, and didn't stop. I had breastfeeding issues (supply issues) which seemed weird to me since I leaked so much.
With Noah's pg, I was still nursing DD, so I had some colostrum the whole time, but I did get more towards the end, and my milk came in really well after he was born.
Maybe this is the Lord's way of supporting your desire to breastfeed! :D
