I am missing my eldest this week. :( He is house sitting for my siser who is out of town. She has this HUGE Mastiff, Samson, that he is watching, and bringing in her mail etc...He also is working two jobs right now. He goes to Wendy's from 7-4 and then Bob Evans from 5-8 or 9 then off to my sister's house which is 40 minutes away. I see him briefly as he comes home to shower between the two jobs. :?
Today he doesn't have a stint at Bob Evans, so I will have a few hours before he has to go and take care of Samson. I will be glad when the house sitting is over on Friday. :) Guess it gives me a small glimpse into life without him when he heads off to college in a year. Time sure does fly!
Ugh! He's growing up! When did *that* happen, right? I am so not looking forward to that. My oldest is in first grade now and I just can't believe that. My baby! ::sniff:: You sure are keeping it together well, mom! I would be crying and feeling sorry for myself! :) ::hugs::

Kudos to what Tara said...so many teens this day don't have a clue or "willingness" to work one job or help someone they know...yours is working two jobs and willing to help a family member in need! Good job girl....your hard work is visible in your son's responsibility and work ethic!

They do grow up fast. Maybe when the house sitting is over, you can do something special together. ITA with Tara, he sounds like a hard working, mature responsible young man! You are blessed :D

I'm right along with the other gals on this one...you did an awesome job raising a son who isn't afriad of work and who is responsible enough to hold down 2 jobs and be a help to his family!
Great job being a mommy, Leslie!!!

Wow! Thanks ever so much ladies. Never thought to look at it that way! I was just missing him. You have made me smile! :) We will get a chance for some alone time next week as we fly out alone together to California to tour UCLA and USC! I am terrified, but trying to be supportive of some of his dreams! LA...I am just an old small town Ahia girl! LOL!
