OK so my doctor is on holidays until the end of august, but they were going to switch us over to a doctor in the city since we are having the baby in the city, so that doctor would follow me the last trimester.

well the nurse called me today saying she made an appointment with THIS lady, Dr. Lidkea, my DH was uncomfortable with it for some reason, said something didn't feel right and we looked her up on the internet and:

After reading the reviews my DH and I are completely freaked out about this dr, and my DH is on the phone right now trying to get our doctors switched :(

The Dr we wanted, Dr. Coe, (the one that delivered Katherine) is always busy and hard to get an appt. with but he is an awesome ob/gyn... Please pray we can get a better doctor even if we can't get Dr. Coe. I am already afraid of going to this lady. The stories about the birthings she has done are awful!!

OMG I am so glad that you and your husband went with gut feelings and checked her out. I will send prayers your way that God leads you to the Dr. that you need. I was in the same boat looking for my girls a better pedi. I prayed and prayed and finally was referred to another Dr. Everyone who works in her office is a Christian. When you call and if you are put on hold it is Christian music playing. They have signs all around the office and it is a good size building that if you would like one of their physicans to pray for you or with you please ask. Thank you God for guiding me in the right direction. Through finding this Dr. we were able to find out our youngest dd was anemic and dangerously low iron count. She is now better. Good luck to you.

I'm sorry you are having a tough time with getting the right doctor. That is an awful rating and I too would be looking elsewhere for treatment.

Praying it works out for you. Wish you could come to Arkansas and use my doc. She's AWESOME!!!

Just say NO! YOU have the authority to REFUSE to see someone and DEMAND someone you feel comfortable with instead...if they give you any lip...you just tell them what you've read and that you'll bring it to everyone's attention in the office there if they don't do as you wish with seeing another doctor!! They won't want those stories printed off and handed to everyone in the waiting room...and sounds like a lot of people wait a lot around there.....BE FIRM!! Prayers

Cheese, I'll be praying that you get another doc and a better one at that. Some of those comments about that doc are scary!

From reading aLL the reviews... it seems that this woman has two totally different sides to her... or she is only warm to certain *types* of people. That would be quite the adventure, "Let's see if we're her TYPE"! :)

I sure hope you can find someone you like soon! What a nightmare.

Yikes! Praying for your search

Praying for you, Cheese. I read over the comments,.. my goodness. I agree with others that say she seems to have 2 different personalities... I wouldn't want to take that risk. You and DH were right in researching her. Good job!

Trust your gut Nichole! If she doesn't feel right, move on!

Update.. .OK we called the dr office with 2 other dr's we wanted a referral to.

Dr Coe, who delivered Katherine, is not taking any more patients.

Dr Eva Dedoming, who is the head of women's health at the hospital and i've heard nothing but fabulous things about her, only makes appointments once a month (you have to call on a certain day) and is backed up. Our dr. office said they'd send her a letter explaining the situation and maybe she will take me as a patient... so we are praying hopefully her office will say yes.

It's really rough because any GOOD doctor is overloaded with patients, but of course the unpleasant doctors you can get in to see right away. :roll: But I really don't feel good about this other doctor.

I'll be praying that you get her. She sounds alot better than the other one. Plus she's got a good name :wink:
