My dd is 2 yo and unfortunately with the summer along comes mosquitoes too. She gets bites and then scratches them enough to make them bleed and later picks off the scab (sorry, I know that sounds gross!). How do I keep her from picking off the scabs?

I don't have the same problem with my girls scratching the scabs.....I just have the problem of their bites swelling up and turning red. I use Aveeno cream for the itch. I forgot about the baking soda paste but another mom on a thread about skeeters said that it is good for the swelling and itching. Give that a try and see if it helps. Make a paste of baking soda and water and rub on the area.
