Well we are finally on our way! yipee! :lol: What I am wondering is if anyone has any suggestions for a good cloth alternative to pullups. I don't want to spend the money on them (pullups), but I want something that I can put on ds when we go out. I am just using underwear when we are at home.

Oh, and I KNOW he is NOT anywhere near night time training yet, but I would be interested to know when some of you did that, too.

I don't know what kind of undies you use, but walmart has the training undies. they're a lot thicker than regular. And if you are going out places I would just cover them with the plastic diaper covers.

With Abby, I limited how much she drank before going to bed. I always make her go pee starting 2 hours before bed time (to really empty her bladder) Then when she started waking up with a dry pullup for 5 days in a row, I switched to underwear.

While out in public, I'd take her about every hour or so... depending on how much fluid she was drinking. Then 30 min. after drinking fluids.

We are just using regular underwear - thanks for the tip. :) And as for emptying his bladder really well at bedtime, that seems to be his favorite time to go - over, and over, and over... :roll:

Hi Kim! We're in the middle of potty training right now. We are taking our son to the bathroom when we go to bed (after 11pm) and he's been dry through the night for about a week now. We had issues period for a while and it seems like lately a lightbulb went off in his head and it's SOOOOOO relieving! But the night thing I did the same with my daughter and it worked for us easy! Then we started watching her liquids before bed too and easing off taking her - smooth transition!
Good luck with the potty training - if I can offer one thing - PATIENCE! ;)

Well we have had a good week, I think! We have progressed from me telling ds that it is time to go to the bathroom to him telling me he needs to. Yipee!! It is not everytime yet, particularly if we are not at home, but it is progress and I am so proud of him! :D And the best part is saying goodbye to diapers during the day! [dancing]

As for nighttime, we'll get there eventually. I am in no rush, but thanks for the suggestions and tips RachelinLA and savedbygrace!
