So...I seem to have forgotten what the end of pregnancy was like! I don't recall at all having this hard a time getting around, sleeping or the reflux issues with my first!
So far I am dialated to 3cm (according to 35 wk visit Monday) and have been having fairly consistent contractions over the last week. Basically moderate/strong contractions every 25-30 minutes over a 3 or 4 hour span of time...then nothing for several more hours. Ugh...that makes it truly miserable. Especially when those contractions are happening in the middle of the night, along with the reflux, need to pee and general back discomfort! :?
What all do you think I should expect in the next few weeks? Give me some definite signs of labor....expected changes....just general last few week feelings.
Thanks!

I was having very strong contractions but my body wasn't producing the hormone that allows your hips to spread so...baby never dropped...I didn't dialate.
I remember the lower back pain and having trouble getting around. It is a pretty miserable time. I have no idea how you are doing it in this heat!

You *are* in the countdown sugar!!! Woo hoo!!! This is so exciting!!
You sound like me! I was in the same boat, long labor for a couple of weeks before the real thing. The great thing is that when your time comes, you probably won't be in intense labor for too long.
I had my membranes stripped a week before my due date and that day my back pain got really bad, I couldn't eat and by the night time my contractions were 5 minutes apart although sometimes they were 15 minutes. The doctor had me go to the hospital and I was in active labor and already 4 cm so only 8 short hours (or it seemed short to me) ds was here.
You are probably going to go soon!!! It's so exciting!!!

Something I never knew before is that if the baby stops moving, it can be a sign of labor- with my twins, they had a very routine pattern of movement....very active in the evening. One night, I could tell that Baby B was NOT moving, so I panicked. We waited several hours, and still no movement. So we rushed to the hospital, where it turned out Baby B was just fine, but I was in labor- contractions 5 minutes apart (our boys were born 9 hours later.) The doctors told us it is very common for babies to stop moving in order to prepare for labor and delivery.
So if your little boy isn't moving like he has been- when in doubt, check it out! :D

Thanks LadyLavender~ I know he has been a lot "quieter" the last few weeks, but the last 2 days, he's been Really quiet! Maybe that means it's almost time!
