OK did your toddlers ever go through a stage where they didn't care to be held. It seems Katherine only wants to be held if she bonks her head or something. I will pick her up to cuddle her or something and she will just want to squirm like she wants to get away and back to doing her own thing (usually crawling around trying to find trouble LOL). I am kindof sad and feel rejected :( she used to WANT me to hold her all the time and at the time, it was a little irritating, but now I miss it! I guess she is all miss independent now.

I am learning slowly but surely that most things are just a phase. My dd went through the same phase where she didn't want me and now she is always in my lap...which has its own problems when you are trying to make dinner or finish a load of laundry.
Katherine is probably enjoying her new freedom to explore and she will be back when this phase is over.

My little twinnies are going through that... for the most part, they want to be DOWN and *running*! They really just started walking a month or two ago, so it's this new found freedom that they don't want to not have! :) They would rather be running free than up in my arms or in my lap... oh well! They'll get cuddly again in a few more months probably... after they have had their fill of freedom! :)

It is simply a phase, a sad phase. Don't worry, your dd will come back to you. And also you'll have another little one to cuddle and hold all the time! :D But until then, I would spend some time snuggling her while she's asleep. I use to do that with Abby. After she would fall asleep, I would put my face next to hers and just lay next to her and pray and thank God for such a wonderful dd.
Hugs to you my friend, they grow up fast..... :(
I agree, it's a phase! Hang in there! *hug*

I agree it's a phase that my dd (now 3yrs old) went through when Katherine's age and now is a phase that my ds (14 months old) started a few months ago. :(
