I am sure this topic has already worn out its welcome... but HELP!!!

I am trying everything... crackers, peppermint tea, lemonade, gingerale. Eating small amounts frequently.

I am SOOO Green!! I have no desire to eat. And when I do I feel even worse after eating!

Now I haven't gotten sick yet because I have talked myself out of it each time so far (I hate getting sick) But sometimes I think I would feel better if I did get sick!

I was like this with Emma but not Josiah... wonder if that means anything!?

I've heard that ginger pills work wonders. I've never tried them, so I don't know first-hand, but that's what my doc suggested.

Really, anything with ginger is supposed to help.

Sorry you're morning sickness is bad!! :?

Sorry to hear that Bekah. :( Same thing happened to me when i was pregnant with my daughter. I had morning sickness 24/7 for 6 months straight. And i tried everything! Crackers, ginger, morning sickness lollipops, lemon, ice, even those wrist bands that people use for sea sickness. Nothing worked. But then i tried something the doctor had recommended and it seemed to calm my stomach down. It's called Horchata which is rice water. It tastes really good and it was sooooo helpful. You could buy it at mexican restaurants or even go online to get the receipe. Was looking online and it looks really easy to make. Hope this helps. :)

some docs actually prescribe coke syrup! It worked a dream for both of my Mom and mother and law for all pregnancies! I know we should avoid caffine, but sometimes when I'm really green...just a little bit of coke or pepsi will do the trick just out of a can! Weird, but it helps! Good luck...I"m hanging in there with you right now...green as can be!

Vitamin B6 is meant to help - check with your doc/midwife for recommended intake though. My ob recommended it, and it did seem to help a bit.

If you tell your doctor or obstetrician he will willingly give you a script for Maxalon or something similar, that is what I have up in my cupboard.

I was the same, I couldn't eat a thing without feeling disgusting for the first FOUR months! Nothing worked for me either so I willingly took the tablets to be able to function, with two 3 y/os being flat on my back is not an option.

I was sicker with this baby than with the twins in the beginning.

Ha, maybe we get sicker with girls than boys?

OH BTW Bekah... if I EVER see a cracker again... I will go SPARE and I mean SPARE! The thought of eating a cracker makes me want to throw up even now LOL

If so, then someone forgot to let my sons in on that one  With my first pregnancy, I was sick up until week 16, and with my second pregnancy, I lost 12 kilos (about 25 pounds) in 6 weeks

When I had my bit of morning sickness, I had to literally force food down my throat. Fortunately, that didn't last long! The one no-no for me was eating a big breakfast. The one time that I splurged and ate a HUGE breakfast was the one time during my 1st trimester that I threw up.

I am just getting over the dreadful morning sickness that I have had with this pregnancy. I can't say that anything improved it heaps. My midwife recommended increasing protein in the diet as sugars can aggrevate the sickness (difficult as I couldn't handle any dairy products or meat). I found that a handful of almonds helped sometimes and I got an almond spread that I ate on toast that really helped (I have actually read recently that almonds are generally recommended as something that can help morning sickness). I also ate Marmite on toast (do you eat this spread in the US?) - usually I would hate the taste but the vitamin B in it really helped me to feel better, so I ate heaps on toast. Bananas are also a source of vitamin B. The only other thing that helped was staying with fairly bland foods - potatoes, plain bread, vegetable soup and keeping away from all but the very bland fruits. The narrow range of foods drove me crazy - but it helped the sickness.
