Does anyone else miss coffee? I love coffee so much, especially specialty coffees, and decaf just isn't the same. Sometimes, I have just a bit, but I don't want to have the caffeine. Sometimes, I crave a latte so much I can't really think about anything else...
Anyone else out there having cravings?

Sorry. I haven't given up caffeine. I have cut back (allowed up to 2 small glasses a day). No other cravings this time around. I am absolutely NO help. Take care and blessings to you! ~Kerri

Did your doc tell you absolutely no caffeine? I don't think one coffee would hurt. :)
I'm allergic to coffee so never had that, but I do still drink pepsi... I know that is not the best thing... but I HATE drinking water ALL the time!! and i have to drink like gallons to stop the thirsty feeling... it's nice to drink something else once in awhile. LOL

I have been craving, and litterally dreaming of tuna. Tuna is on my no-no list because of mercury. I am really looking forward to a tuna sandwhich in 3 months.

The only craving I had the entire pregnancy were cold turkey sandwiches. Since there's a chance of listeriosis, I didn't want to chance it. I've had a ton of sandwiches since Landon's been born.
I don't drink soda's a lot, but really needed to have some every once in a while. They say it's safe to have some caffiene every day. I would have maybe 2 cans of Coke a week.
Here's the link on Baby Center about caffiene:

As for tuna, you can still have some. Can't remember the amounts. But I limited it to 6oz a week. That way I could have tuna sandwiches and tuna casserole.

I've never been a big soda drinker, but I too love my coffee! So, I now limit myself to only a few cups on Fridays at work. Every Friday our doctor brings in fresh made donuts from Krisy Kreme and we brew up a pot or two of a specail Jamacian blend of coffee one of our patients brings us each time she comes home from Jamacia....Yummy!!!
I have had a lot of bad headaches with this pregnancy and my doc has recommended I drink a regular coke to help with them. So... I end up having one of those about once a week too!
All in moderation, my dear!

I have not given up caffeine either - I usually have about 2 regular-sized cups per day of coffee I make at home. I had the ocassional Starbuck's with my last pregnancy as well - though I know there is a lot of caffeine in Starbuck's coffee etc...
I crave wine with my dinner sometimes - but don't partake due to FASD risk...so that is my forbidden item that I crave but can't have :)

I have to really limit my caffeine because I'm hypoglycemic, and it has been a little worse than normal during my pregnancy. It is usually really slight and I can have coffee as long as I eat something with it, but no such luck right now. I sure hope it will ease up after the baby comes!
I, Personally, drank coffee throughout my pregnancies, all of them... and never had a problem. I did keep it down to about one or two servings of caffeine a day, simply because I noticed I started to get more jittery than normal but, never had any other negative side effects from it. My midwives were never opposed to my having coffee... just junk food! :)

I drink a cup of 1/2 caffeinated coffee each morning with this pregnancy. I've learned to limit caffeine since 2002 due to heart palpitations. I enjoy a good decaf latte from Starbucks once in a while and I cannot tell the difference!

When I was pg I would occasionally have 8 oz of coffee, or one soda (not both in one day, I would try to have only one caffinated beverage if I had any at all).
Now I am nursing and still have to limit my caffeine intake - it is so hard, not just because I am tired but mmmmmmm the smell of dark roast brewing in the morning is so good.
SupermansLady, that Jamaican coffee sounds good!

I have coffee everyday! just a small cup. I also still eat my tuna. I did research and found that you can have one can of solid white tuna once a month, or two cans of chunk light. I still don't have tuna that often but, it's not completely off limits for me.
