Disturbing Dream

I had THE MOST disturbing dream last night. I mean, this far exceeds my Jedi mind power dream!!!

So Kev and I went to my BIL's house and our entire family was there. We had just come back from my ultrasound and they were waiting to hear if the baby was a boy or a girl. Well, I didn't know what it was - in fact, I couldn't remember anything about the ultrasound. Then Kev told everyone that it was a girl and I just remember being so disappointed that it was a girl!! I was devastated!! When I woke up, I still felt very bummed.

What the heck?? I don't care if it's a boy or a girl, so why am I having dreams like this???

It was really weird [insert eerie music here].

I hate dreams like that and boy did I have them while I was pregnant! After I found out each time what my babies were and told everyone, I dreamed they were born and they were the opposite sex that what I had been told they were and I had all of the wrong clothes for them! I had lots of strange dreams while I was pregnant, must be the hormones. Stephanie

what can I say but HORMONES!

I know it's so troubling when you have "bad" dreams about the baby (even though in reality you don't care what sex the baby is). Its all our pent up anxiety about our babies being healthy, normal, happy, plus hormones....

Hey I had a bad dream I went to see my obst and he said there is something wrong with the baby so he had to give me a caesarian at 22 weeks and see if the baby would survive in a humidicrib... anxiety about my next appointment perhaps?

Annoying but normal I am afraid.

I know what you mean about bad dreams. I go this afternoon to see the OB again, and it's been 6 wks from my last visit. I'm very anxious but scared, they're going to say there is no HB like last year. I even dreamed I went and I remember them telling me I was going to have to have emergency surgery because something was wrong but they wouldn't tell me what was wrong. Even though, so far everything has been great and I've been sick this whole time, it's still nerve wreaking. Please say a prayer my visit today goes well.

I have weird dreams all the time when I am pregnant. Last time I was pregnant I had just had a miscarriage a few months before and so when I was around 10 weeks I dreamed I had the baby and that he was small but not like what ten weeks would look like... In my dream someone asked me if the baby would be okay and I kept saying well he's 6.5 months early but if he can get through the night he'll be okay...

????????? Now THAT'S weird!!

I think that our minds do really crazy things when we're preggo! One weird dream that I had was that I gave birth to a PARAKEET! I mean, can you imagine? I remember in my dream how disappointed I was. I was like, "I wanted a baby, not a parakeet." Another dream I had was that I birthed the baby at 33 weeks gestation. It was a boy and it was a really easy birth. Despite being 7 weeks early he didn't have to have any time in the NICU and was in perfect shape! Now that's a weird dream!

So don't worry Beck, you're not losing your mind!

Oh, I thought my PG dreams would drive me insane! One dream I had was the baby was born covered in hair and so vivid! Ewwww! I have so many strange dreams still (not as bad, though) and the baby is almost 6 months! I hope that you have very vivid GOOD dreams going forward.
