I cannot remember how I did this the first time. About when do you usually stop giving them cereal at 3 meals a day? is it usually when they start doing finger foods? Or a year? DD is 8mths.
Thanks
Hollie

As best I can remember I stopped doing it around 9 or 10 months. I continued to feed them baby oatmeal for breakfast with a fruit in it until they were around 1 but stopped with the cereal in their food quiet a bit earlier. Stephanie

My ds is 13 mos and he still eats cereal (the baby stuff) at breakfast sometimes. And sometimes if I can't get him to eat anything else at dinner, I will fix that for him. But he started the 3 meals a day (fruit and veggies) about 4 mos and now eats table food. But he still likes his cereal! :D

I don't think there is any real set time, each baby is so different. One of my boys was a baby cereal lover to and ate it even after the age of 1. Some only until about 9 months as well. And my daughter hated baby cereals all together and stopped as soon as she could maybe 7 months.

Just use your baby's cues. If she seems ready or dislikes the cereal there is nothing wrong with stopping. Or continue it for as many meals as you want. Sometimes its easier for a while to serve cereals.

My dd is 13 months and she has cereal for breakfast, and then finger foods for all other meals except cereal again before bed.

My dd, 1, normally has regular oatmeal for breakfast and fruits & veggies & meat for the other meals. We've been doing this for several months.

 Abby never had cereal three times a day. Just for breakfast. She would have a vegetable baby food for lunch and a vegetable baby food for dinner and then either a fruit or custard for pudding. I added fruit babyfood to her cereal in the morning too because she wouldn't eat it plain.
