I'm Late!!!

Okay, I didn't want to post because Thursday I took a hpt and got a BFN. Af was suppose to come Friday. I am on cd30 now. I am usually very regular. I thought okay, I got a BFN so maybe i'll start later on Friday, but she never showed. It's Saturday and still Af still has not showed up.... I'm starting to get hopeful. I am a nervous mess right now. I don't want to get excited and then just be late. And then be crushed. I keep thinking I'm just late because of the BFN. I took the hpt in the middle of the day, so I don't know, maybe it's a false BFN? I don't want to get excited, I don't want to get excited, but how do I keep myself from being hopeful? I had all the signs that she was coming this month. So I didn't really expect her to be late or possibly even a no show!!!
Can someone please help me stayed focused and grounded.....

Maybe take another test first thing tomorrow morning?? I don't know if I'd be able to wait but that's what I suggest to you! haha!

I have always been a HPT addict (during ttc I should have started a support group :D ) If it was me I would be testing tomorrow morning. But I am praying no matter what you decide. It is so hard not to get your hopes up, just try to surrender the results to God. Keep us posted.

Thanks ladies, I'm on the brink of tears. I'm gonna wait until Monday. I don't have another hpt here at home, other wise I'd use it. Has anyone ever had a false BFN?

I did with Gabe. took two and they were both BFN, then the docs blood work was BFP.

Got home done a 3rd hpt and it was BFN. called the doctor, he said, "oh you probably got a bad lot. "
they were different brands so not same lot. (duh, LOL)

finally found out that some womens hormone levels don't rise enough to detect pregnancy until a lot later than most.

with Bri, we found out 3 days before af was due. Brian "just knew" it was the right time (crudely charted then, but nothing major) and sure enough, it was right.

with patrick, I knew. Was so early postpartum, so wasn't charting or anything, but just knew. his hpt was also early. BFP on it.

I think it depends on the woman, the pregnancy and the test. I also think you're more likely to get a BFN than a BFP.

*Oh, btw, for Bri, I was too scared to take the test at home, so I drove 30 minutes to the library two blocks from Brian's work, took it there (in the library restroom) and then went and told Brian. I kinda knew that I wouldn't be able to tell him on the phone, much less keep it from him all day, LOL

I had a false BLOOD test :shock: ( I worked at a hsopital at the time) because it was too early. But I knew I was pregnant. I got dizzy...and sure enough 3 days later I had a positive urine HCG. False positives almost NEVER happen, but your BFN SURE! :D

I got two BFN's this time around. So I waited until I was 5 days late and finally got a BFP! I'm one of those woman who doesn't produce enough hormones in the first few days. I'm really praying that you get a BFP!!!

Thanks Ladies for all your encouragement. AF came this morning. :cry: But I'm okay. It was funny because last night I still did not start and then I realized that I was lactating. Weird right? So I thought for sure I must be pregnant. My milk has been dry for almost 1.5 years. But nope!

I was just laying in bed, and my dd crawled in bed with me. (dh left to the church already) and she looks at me and says I love you mommy, and proceeded to sing You are my sunshine. [lovingsmiley] She didn't know I was sad, but it was just what I needed.
