When did you start feeling big? Last night was my first night I couldn't get comfy, and this morning I woke up to find the top of my belly blew up, and my belly is tighter. I feel like it is too early to start feeling the firsts of being big and uncomfy...and I am just down thinking I have 3 1/2 more months of getting bigger and knowing this feeling is going to get worse and worse. So my question is more, am I normal. did you start feeling big this soon (a bit over 23 weeks) or were you still foot loose and fancy free?

I feel big now! although I don't think I actually gained weight yet... I'm showing though. I don't feel like you feel though. I remember with my first I can't remember at what stage though but I felt like my skin couldn't stretch any further my stomach felt tight and I just felt like my skin would rip right off if I moved to fast to the right or left while keeping my legs stationary. Don't worry your skin will stretch out more... that doesn't necessarily mean stretch marks either. I didn't get any on my stomach. Use lotion and try not to over exert yourself right now you should start to feel adjusted pretty soon. Though that feeling big part I don't think will go until after the baby. Just wait til you get farther along and when you want to roll over in bed you have to grab hold of the side of the mattress and pull... of course we can't forget the breath catcher you have to take half way through rolling over. In conclusion you sound normal to me.

Oh you're right on track. I start feeling big around 25 weeks. So, I just recently started feeling big. Somehow you kind of adapt but you don't get really used to it. After about 32-33 weeks I start feeling REALLY big and start getting uncomfortable. One thing that helps tremendously is to keep your water weight gain down then. Eat less salt, eat more watermelon and drink tons of water. Don't worry about how you look but how you feel in your clothes. Loose sandals or shoes are good too... especially in the hot weather. Anyways, hope this helps!

I have to say that honestly I never felt that big....even with as much water in there as I had with Noah. Sorry not much help huh? I am a big woman anyways, and have a large frame to carry big babies...guess that makes a HUGE difference. I can say that I had a hard time getting comfy in bed starting around 32+ weeks, but I only felt uncomfy in bed!
I hope its just the baby being in a weird position...that can change often too!
Blessings,
Amber

It's worth it. Every last bit of this is worth it. The sickness, the emotions, the frustrations, it's so worth it when you hear that first cry and see that precious face for the first time.
You bet ;)
Becky, yes I feel big. I've had a harder time bending over/down to get whatever off the ground. I've had trouble sitting in the pew at church or in the couch at home. I've had trouble laying on my side(s) even with pillows... This little guy is so much more up front than David ever was. If he is a C-Section later on I would not be surprised in the least. It seems like he's trying to get out the front at times. On that same note, I do believe my belly button is going to pop out this time. It's already flattened some... again, with David it stayed an innie... Hmm...
Anyway, with David it was later in the pregnancy that the uncomfortable-ness (I know, I know, that's not a word... school year's almost up, lol) started. I'm right with you Becky [hug] Well, that might be kind of interesting right now... with both of our bellies in the way, HA HA HA!

24 weeks I could really notice a big difference for me. I just turned 25 weeks and I had to laugh at Becky's post as I too feel like the top of my belly blew up within a week. It feels like the baby suddenly has swam to the top

By the last week I felt enormous but not too much before that. Like Amber I had a lot of water retention w/ #2 but never felt "big" (even though pics show I was  ) until that last week. Good luck to you. Not much longer to go! ~Kerri

I feel big when I step on the scale (not because of my weight) and I have to stick my rearend out so I can read the numbers on the scale--I sometimes forget about this big ol' belly sticking out down there. I know I've got such a long way to go...and so much more belly to gain!
