You may think this belongs in another topic forum, but I wanted to put here because I believe it takes a lot of patience and faith when you are ttc.
I was doing my devotions this morning with my dh, and we were reading the story about Jairus and his 12 year old dd. His dd was very sick and he came to Jesus to ask him if He would come to his house and heal is dd. Jesus said He would and while traveling to Jairus's house his dd died (or was asleep) The people mocked Jesus and laughed at him, but he still raised her up. But verse 36 of Chapter 5 says "be not afraid, only believe...."
I know every month, I tell God that I believe and that I have faith and He'll answer my prayers. But sometimes my heart gets discouraged and at times I question or don't believe God will answer my prayers.
We also read in John 11 the story of Lazarus. Martha came to Jesus and said that Lazarus was sick, and Jesus stayed in the same place for 2 days. He waited to days before even leaving. By time He got there Lazarus had already been dead for 4 days. Mary didn't even come out to see Jesus, because she was upset with him. When Jesus arrived and saw Lazarus's sister's crying and friends crying, the Bible said that "Jesus Wept"
This reminds me 2 things : first, that God will answer our prayers in His timing. I don't know how long of a wait that may be or how He might answer our prayers, but He hears them and He will answer them in His way. Second, that every month when we cry because we recieve a bfn or we are discouraged and heart broken, I believe God is with us and feels compassion for us.
If you read the story, Martha had faith but it seems that no one believed Jesus' power could go beyond the grave. Once someone is dead, to them it was over. But God's power can conquer it all.
I believe that God loves us and hears our prayers. I believe He has compassion for us and understand how we feel. He heard Hannah in the Bible and He hears us. "Be not afraid, ONLY Believe"
How far does your faith take you? For some of us we have been ttc for 7 years or longer, some just a few months. "Be not afraid, only believe" that God will answer your prayers according to His will and he will not leave you comfortless, He will come to you......
I'm am praying for you all!
