Just wondering what is your fav. sunscreen to put on your little ones? I was wondering if a spray is better than lotion? Easy to apply, best factor etc. It is starting to heat up and my boys love to be outside! I have 2 little fair skinned Irish boys :)

I prefer to use the face stick kind for the face as it won't drip and get into the eyes. As far as the rest of it I use 30 or better of whatever kind is on sale. I do use that clear zinc oxide cream for my fair eyed boy's face and any area where he has been burned! He is the only one I need to worry over. The rest all do fine with the run of the mill stuff! :D

In the past I have bought that "No-ad" stuff, in the children's 40 spf or whatever it is.
I don't think I've done the sprays. Decided that they'd likely clog or not cover as well as I'd like anywho.
But now I have Banana Boat, again, a kids variety, higher spf. It's not drippy, but not super thick like the no-ad stuff was either. I'm liking it. It came with a free stick...very cool. I do like the sticks. Nice for getting around the eyes. Nice for the littles. Nice for toting around for 'emergencies' My husband actuallytook the stick with him last year as he was out working on pools. He has scarring on his nose and it burns quite easily while the rest of him tans, quickly. Well, we (family and I) kept reminding him to sunscreen up before heading out, but he forgets. He started taking the stick with him, keeping it in the truck, then he was easy for him to apply and no more burnt noses :D
I like to keep it in the truck or our 'track bag' in case we end up outside when we've been out and about, or for 'touch ups'
I'm looking into some more natural sunscreen. As, I'm just not a fan of chemicals. But, we're outside a lot. I'm taking whatever risk there is in sunscreen chemicals over the risk of all that unfiltered sun exposure ;)
Oh, there are also those 'goes on purple' kind of kids sunscreens, so you can SEE what you're doing. We had one of those a few years ago. I found them at a dollar store or something of that nature...really cheap. I hate paying the $ for sunscreen, but, I bit the bullet for the Banana Boat, we needed some. We just did. So, that was the cheapest there was at the time.

I like the Water Babies kind. I think it is made by Bannana Boat.

I use a cream and usually use factor 50 on my DD she has fair skin and tends to burn easy just like her mummy.

I forget who makes it.. but the greatest thing I have found are the sunscreen wipes. I will get the name as soon as I go upstairs.. but anyway. The pouch fits easily anywhere and covers both my kids and is 45 SPF and is waterproof. Is great for the purse or thrown in the glove compartment for those quick trips that aren't planned and the kids need sunscreen...
Anyway will be back with the name.. sorry!

I don't think this a Canadain only product.....But I really love the Aveeno baby suncreen I use it on my four yesr old too. It's a little more $ but less chemicals and good for my DS who still has baby excema. A bit more natural I think.....

I'm with Julie here. We use Water Babies too. It is a spray which I actually DON'T spray on the kids (freaks 'em out  ) but that way I can use it in the water AND for play (sweaty kids). I like the idea of the towelettes called Baby Silk but at almost $26 for 15 towelettes...just not a frugle item ya know? ~Kerri

Oh yeah anything Aveeno is so good. I've never tried there sunscreen before but everything else i've tried of their brand is good like babywash and lotion.

We use Water Babies spray sunscreen. Is it true that you are not supposed to apply both sunscreen and bug spray at the same time? Like because of a reaction it may cause? Do they make sunscreen that contains bug lotion in it?
